X Factor Rejects

#

Started by Dennis

Now call me sad for having X Factor on at all but…

did anyone see the bit in the show when they got all the worst rejects up on the stage for a massed rendition of Earth Song by Michael Jackson?!

Easily the best bit of telly I have seen in a long time and funny as hell!

I didn’t see this one… but on the oz pop idol they had the rejects singing a song onstage and even got them to record a single together… twas very funny. I’m guessing it was something like that… a mixture of people who can’t sing can’t dance and have faces like a welders bench.

Since we’re being honest…

I did see (for a change) this years x-factor, and enjoyed the performances of a young Robert Allen. But really I think that the show is rigged and the whole way of people getting signed for nothing when they don’t win the thing can be kinda silly.

But yea I always watch the auditions, makes me piss myself! :D

I used to be hostile to this show but now i think its great entertainment! The rejects singing was hilarious, esp when the fat cow missed her cue and just stood there looking gormless instead!

The whole thing is bollocks tho…Leona has been signed for a million but she will only see a few grand of that by the time her expenses are paid and the writers take 50%.

I’ve never seen it and never plan to… i only saw a part of an episode in oz with the retards..i mean rejects.

I have big issues with the program and ones like it.. from a moralist point of view… big load of corprate wank… not doubting the talent on it, but the way it’s done..just proves all that is wrong in the industry.

I heard she declined that offer as the states have offered her many millions more. Like the world needs annoy bloody Mariah!

Well she’ll be taking over the old Mariah style songs, not the “hip-hop” influenced stuff of now.

But your right, we don’t need another one!

I would have thought Cowell would have locked her into a contract long before she actually won it… all of the final 12 will be doing a tour next year.

Anyways, if you enter into that sort of competition on your own head be it. (And yes, I do like to watch it :D)

That did happen, and it was atrocious! :D

Anyone that takes X-Factor seriously enough to really HATE it is missing the idea IMHO. This is harmless pop rubbish, not killing any music. The bands you have to be wary of are shit novelty acts like The Darkness and The Feeling and Rooster. They are the ones killing real music by pretending to be something ‘real’ and trying to convince us of their worth when both we and they know they want to make money off the backs of people like us and then disappear. At least pop idol isn’t pretending to be real, its just entertainment for morons like me to laugh at before a night out.
Case in point: A sad boy i know laughed at me for liking The Wildhearts whilst going on about The Darkness, saying they were more for real - who’s laughing now?

Actually…neither of us… bad example. :( er…

b-b - I see your point. But The Wildhearts will always have more credibility than The Darkness (who will be considered the UK equals to Electric Six!).

As for X-factor the TV & phone companies are making money off of it, so it will continue.

Oh and Dennis - Your Sad!
