I haven’t heard too much of rio grande blood though, and I seem to miss them live every fucking time they’re around. I’d really like to see the line-up with tommy “I used to have my own kick ass band and played for Madonna after they split up” Victor

Oh and there is a great french rock-dance-industrial act too: Sidilarsen Rammstein with more swagger or sumthin’like it

Filth Pig as actually very underrated. It’s definitely very heroin drenched, but it’s still a great album. And I dug the experimental aspect of Dark Side of the Spoon.

Animositisomina I found to be rather forgettable. Houses of the Molé was brilliant, though. It was easily IMO the best thing since Psalm 69. If you liked that, you should at least like Rio Grande Blood in theory. They’re pretty much the same album. But that’s part of why I didn’t like Rio Grande Blood. It’s too predictable. It’s essentially the exact same album as Houses of the Molé but without the dynamics created by the addition of less aggressive songs like “World.” It’s just a giant chainsaw metal frenzy with industrial elements thrown in here and there for punctuation and lots of anti-Bushisms.

If they keep the same lineup for the next tour, you should catch them, though. The additions of Tommy Victor and Paul Raven were cool. Unfortunately, the trend of the setlist on recent tours has been the first half of the show as stuff from whatever album they’re touring for and then a few scattered hits in the second half.

Always good live, but they used to play a better variety of songs.

From what I’ve heard it’s not that bigger step from the last album or what he has done before.. but I guess artists always say how different it will be. Anyway so far I like what I have heard, they only played a few new ones last night but they worked well:)
