couple of my friends like them but they don’t do anything for me

I heard a couple of their tunes and thought they sounded promising, but then I saw them supporting Feeder last year and they were a bit of a disappointment.

seen feeder twice once with the original drummer at reading 2001, and with the new one at leeds 2002 both times they were excellent!

i have their first cd. their music takes a while to get used…my favorite song of theirs is “underneath the wheels”… like the band placebo, they look and sound feminine but they make good music

i really looked forward to seein my vitriol two years ago at reading festival while i was waiting for teenage fanclub to go onstage.
first song starts and i think, great. second song starts and i’m like, wasn’t it… third song starts and i shout, they sound all the same!
that means i wasn’t very well impressed. and when feeder played in london two years ago i missed the first night (my vitrio special guests) as it was sold out and went to see the second show supported by mark b and blade instead. not on purpose..
i’ve seen feeder loadsa times, including festivals and showcases, and the best gig, to me, it’s still brixton academy 1999. lot of crowdsurfing and singing along. two encores. ace. good old times.

the my vitriol album takes a lot of getting used to but you will like it. my g\f would play it all the time and it ended up sticking in my head so i ended up burning a cd for myself. “underneath the wheels” by them is a great sulky sad song in my opinion. personally, i like how they sound instrumentally

my fave feeder songs have to be ‘sweet 16’ and ‘my perfect day’, i just love polythene and swim. although i must say their very first EP, ‘two colours’, featured a really cool track called ‘chicken on a bone’.
my friend ordered and paid for her ticket to see the foos at the end of the month but hasn’t receive it yet. she’s worrying herself to death. see what happens when you get tickets online.

‘Drinking myself to sleep again, night nurse pills to keep me sane…’, yeah, those lyrics are in my head pretty often as well. It’s the best song on YWTS, if you ask me. YWTS is the strongest Feeder album lyricwise anyway, I recognize a lot of things in the lyrics. Musicwise, it would be Polythene. Echo Park is a bit poppy, but still great, especially Turn. They have slowed down a bit on their new album, Comfort in Sound, and the lyrics are not very uplifting, which is understandable regarding the fact that their drummer committed suicide less than a year ago. Although I prefer the ‘rocking Feeder’, it’s a great, great album, probably my no. 1 for this year.
I know I’m not really on the topic, but I just can’t rave enough about Feeder!!

I don’t have any of the singles, too hard to get here in Holland, and there’s just too many of them (why does every single have to come in at least two versions?). I’m still looking for a bunch of b-sides though. Do you know ‘Feel it Again’, it’s a b-side of Come Back Around, it’s supposed to be one of the best b-sides. It also has that weather thing (‘December, why does it always rain? Why does it never snow?’).

Could you put them on a cd, by any chance? That would be to good to be true I guess.
I have Reading 2001 (superb sound) and a gig they played in Glasgow (great sound as well) last year on cd, and a bunch of other live gigs as mp3 (quality is not very good though). So if you want, we can trade or something.

unfortunatly the only guy i know who could copy cds doesn’t live in london. he’s just moved to aberdeen, the bastard, and it would take ages to gather all my cds and go see him.
i’d do it for free anyway. no problem.

Y’know, I never really liked Feeder.
But anyways. I saw My Vitriol last year. They played well. The sounded shit. The whole thing was caked in a terrible high pitched feedback.
