Yes it’s time for some compulsive partying or grumbles on the WOM!

OK, maybe the New Year’s a bit of an empty concept but personally, I think its a great excuse just to log on, wish some good/not inherently bad people all the best, drink the last of the festive spirit, and watch 2006 go up in smoke! “2006 is dead, may she rot in pieces!”. Let’s all celebrate the end to a truly shite year!

I agree to a degree. If you don’t go into some shit town and get blind drunk on smirmoff ice or alternatively go to a god awful neighbors party you are “wel sadz” according to the stupid twats who attend.

Wow that was the cynic in me. It just annoys me this time of year, how everyone comes out of their shell and tries to be all “wahey I’m a party animal”, neighbors who don’t say a word to you at any other time of year apart from MAYBE mid summer try and act like your best friend.

Stupid bints go on so called diets all of a sudden. Most people don’t even think about what the new year means, and once that clocks chimmed, what then?

But thats just me being cynical.

+ points are good friends, good parties, Jools Holland on BBC2, good food and drink not some cheap shit bought in bulk, good family and in a good friendly environment. :D

That’s what its all about IMHO.

Up in my mate’s gaff till midnight then off to the pub till 7am to get hammered. The way NYE is supposed to be spent !

Strong rumours that I tried chatting up a girl with the classic that I will feck off to Ireland again in a couple of days and that she wouldn’t see or hear me for another year so if she was looking for an easy score with no hassle attached…

I was planning a quiet night in with Guitar Hero but was persuaded to drive to Leeds. I arrived at 10, everyone else had been drunk for 8 hours but I pulled out a herculean effort to become the most pissed person there in less than 3 hours!

We drank the house dry and when I went to the fridge at about 1 ish there was nothing there apart from a half empty bottle of passata (been there about 3 months apparently) so I downed it figuring that it may contain SOME alcohol by now.

It didn’t, and I regurgitated it very swiftly indeed and all I can taste now is tomatoes. I was still hungover till about 9 tonight, despite copious quantities of Obonobo hangover cure, and my own personal hangover cure which I believe I detailed in another thread.

I’m too old to drink that much these days, my body is no longer happy to nurse the toxins away, it wants revenge instead.

I went to Rock City, saw about 5 minutes of Moletallica (unimpressed) and spent the rest of the night accepting free drinks and shots from strangers (mostly horror fans), dancing and then eventually stumbled back to the boys at 4am.

And we did it all looking like this:

Best bit was going into the local 24 hours shop, standing at the meat counter and asking if they had any fresh brains.
