Loose & Nowhere

#

Started by hoochalobster (Sarah) Super Moderator

As I recall I was somewhat impoverished when Loose was released and so I purchased the purple CD (with the live b-sides) and the limited edition cassette (with Our Love Must Die etc).

A friend has very kindly posted me a Loose CD single which she found but, alas, it’s the same one I’ve already got. So I’m wondering if there’s some poor sod out there stuck with two copies of the red CD who wants to trade? Worth a shot, I feel.

I also have a spare copy of Nowhere on 7” if anybody is interested :)

I only have one copy of the red version, sorry. But if you can’t find it here, you should be able to find it on somewhere on the internet, I guess Loose is one of the most easy-to-get singles, together with Stories.

Yeah, I don’t think it will be too hard to get a copy, I’m in no rush as I have the b-sides on cassette. I didn’t get a CD player until ‘96 so most of my early Therapy? stuff is on tape and vinyl anyway - just keep getting the feeling I should try catch up on CD before they invent another format and I am left way, way behind lol :D

Don’t worry, they won’t invent new format for a long time as the money spent on investment of CD technology hasn’t been amortized yet..

Correct me if I’m wrong but the Loose single with the live tracks is the red one, in a digi pack, and the purple one is the one with Our love must die etc, is a jewel case.

Or am I just just splitting incredibly thin hairs! Thats what I’ve got anyway.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that a digipack is a shitty cardboard thing that falls apart if you go within 3 feet of it and a jewel case is a cunning plastic device that actually goes some way towards protecting your CD (unless you stand on it)? I always did wonder.

i think digipacks are much better, ‘couse i somehow got the gift of droping all my new cd’s in the first week after i bought them, shamless for example went down right before i could put it in the cd-player the first time. the stupid jewel cases don’t seem to like that.

Yes hoochalobster, you’re right about the different formats!

To add to the confusion about the different versions of Loose, I have both the purple and the red disc in a jewel case with Our Love Must Die, etc. on it. The purple one has a small promo sticker on the jewel case.

The digipak with the live versions has a dark-red disc. Finally, I have a promo disc (with just the ‘Loose LP version’ on it) which is a purple disc in a digipak.

Life as a T?-collector would be much easier if one were colorblind..

I don’t have any… :( Mind you, i’m a crap collector!

Incidentally, my sister’s boyfriend is colourblind, and he got very excited about a 7” he bought on what he thought was grey vinyl (can’t remember what it was, some band no-one’s ever heard of probably…), but it turned out to be a more common pink version. He also has a pink game cube, but we haven’t had the heart to tell him.
