 I was at that gig, can’t believe I saw Rico live and didn’t pay any attention :( *demands that Rico tour asap*
My first one was when I was 13 at Leeds T&C in February 1994. I’d never heard of them but the gig was amazing… I’ve been a wee bit obsessed ever since.
Pretty sure it was Rico - I assumed that was where you got into him.

No, it was our own trusty Motherh666 who turned me on to Rico (cheers Seb!).

Title: First Therapy gig.
My first one was on the Saturday of the 1993 Reading Festival(Therapy shared the bill with the likes of Siouxsie and the Banshees, Kingmaker. The The and some guy called Gary Clail). What is odd was that they would of been better placed playing on the Friday or Sunday with bands like Tool, Bad Brains, Jesus Lizard, Rage Against The Machine and the Butthole Surfers.
I cannot remember much about it now other than I was pissed and was relieved when Therapy played as I new there songs and Gary Clail had depressed me!!!

That was the first of a colleague of mine (his age favoured him). Mine should have been at Brielpoort in Deinze (after long discussions at home) but a broken ankle ruined it for me (actually the electrics did that for everybody else) so my first gig had to be at the Brabanthal. I will never forget the lights rolling over the ceiling of the Brabanthal during Moment Of Clarity.
Shame I couldn’t jump due to my aching ankle.

That ‘96 show at the White Horse/Attic was fantastic, indeed. In the Top 3 with Cork’04 and Narberth’06.

Cork 04 was probably the best gig i was ever at. If felt like a kid again. Kneeling on the stage for most of it. Kissed Andy on the cheek at the end of it, mmmh sweaty. Whey kicked it off Meat Abstract you just new it was gonna be special.
Saw them in London on the NANE tour and it just wasn’t the same, too big and the crowd weren’t too into it bar the diehards. Don’t think i will ever see them as good as that Cork gig. They are on about playing the Ambassator but I’v been to a few gigs there and it just ain’t as good as the smaller venues. Thats why I’d love to see them do an Irish club tour.
Oh Cork ‘04 you were the best, those other gigs meant nothing.

Smallest venue I ever saw them at was a club in Germany that held about 150 people - wast the SP/YF tour and I know what you mean, an intimate gig definitely has a different vibe.
I am 100% for an Ambassador gig, but must admit that a Irish tour of smaller venues would also kick ass.
I didn’t realise that they played Cork in 04 - would have gone down for that one…

Mine was in ‘92 at the Junction in Cambridge.
If I remember rightly, they had Cornershop supporting them (before Fatboy remixed their one and only) and it was in support of Nurse.
Brilliant experience from the minute my mate’s dad picked us up to the moment we were dropped off again.
The best part was I got to shake the hand of my drumming idol, Mr Ewing.
Of course I froze, shat myself and could only say ‘well drummed, mate’.
He looked at me bizarely and scuttled away with several tins of Red Stripe in tow!
15 years ago. T? have been with me for half my life!
Cornershop, needless to say, haven’t :D

i think my first T? gig was at the mean fiddler in harlesden in early 92, went and watched them without knowing any of their stuff.
a mate of my mine reckons i saw them at the feet first club night at camden palace but i must have pished cause i dont remember that at all! But i used to go there nearly every week so he is probably right, which means it was back in october 1991!!!
since then have racked up over 20 T? gigs. which is pretty good considering i went to none at all between 1995 & 1999!!
