If you are sitting next to someone who irritates you on a plane or train…

1. Quietly and calmly open up your laptop case.

2. Remove your laptop.

3. Boot it.

4. Make sure the guy who won’t leave you alone can see the screen.

5. Open your email client to this message.

6. Close your eyes and tilt your head up to the sky.

7. Then hit this link: http://www.thecleverest.com/countdown.swf

A pity I don’t own a laptop… I travel by train quite a lot, I know how annoying fellow trainpassengers can be, maybe it’s worth buying one, just to see the looks on their faces :p

My son’s best mate is a sikh, and he told me about some T-shirts he had seen that said “Don’t freak, I’m a Sikh” and “Don’t panic - I’m not islamic” … I KNOW it’s bad and wrong and that 99.999999999% of muslims are wonderful people - but it still made me laugh *blushes*

Why are white people made to be terrified of saying something wrong that COULD be construed as racist by so called ‘experts’? Like your link there its just a bit of fun.
Am i the only person in the World that thinks political correctness is doing more harm than good?

On a different note, Johnny Vaughn on QI last year said that if you’re on a train or bus and you don’t want anyone to sit next to you, rather than putting a bag or briefcase on the seat next to you when anyone gets on, you should instead pat the empty seat and smile broadly at them. :D (I think he said Derren Brown told him that.)

That’s a tough one because I think most normal rational people see that political correctness can be completely ridiculous and overboard - but then you think of people like Jade Goody and it seems like she needs someone to sit her down and spell everything out for her. Not that I have watched or read any of the furore surrounding BB so I could be doing her a huge disservice, but some people are really so incredibly dumb that they can’t make a sensible decision about whether something might be offensive or not.

My son and his sikh friend say the most appalling things to each other that would almost certainly offend anyone and everyone else - I can’t even stand to listen to it myself even though I know that they are the best of friends! They just think it’s really funny and they are as bad as each other
