Let’s keep this one up, it’s too early in the morning for me to recommend anything at the time…my brain doesn’t start working after the second cup of coffee!

i don’t have a favorite cure album..i just like too many from different cds equally…but if i had to choose, i would have to say that wish is my favorite album. it has a lot of sad gloomy songs which i love. my favorite cure songs would have to be trust, the last day of summer, to wish impossible things, sinking, bare, ..i’ll just stop here and say i like a lot of their songs.

Wish is by far my favourite Cure album. I think my favourite tracks are Apart and A Letter to Elise but frankly there’s not a bad song on there so it’s hard to choose.

Exciter is dull. Ultra has at least 3 killer tracks (Home, Barrel, Useless). That bassline from Doug Wimbish? Wow!

Is that the Doug Wimbish who used to be a member of Living Colour? I love Living Colour, and an important part of my appreciation for them is based on the bass (lines/sound). Is Ultra his current band, or did he play on just that one song? I’ve never heard of Ultra before..

he meant the album ultra by depeche mode… and like i mentioned before, i agree with him on how exciter was dull. my favorite depeche mode albums are ultra, violater, and songs of faith and devotion…everything else is too dancy. i couldn’t understand why people thought they were a gay band until i heard albums of theirs before violator.. those albums were pretty bad..exciter seemed like they went back to what they did in the albums before violator..which wasn’t a good move

this song has stayed in my head since i’ve watched donnie darko for the first time. not the greatest song, but it has a certain thing about it that distinguished it from every other song that resembles it

Yeah, Wimbish played the bassline on ‘Useless’. (from Ultra).
Actually, Living Colour are touring again. Hope they make a record.

although my favourite is still ‘songs of faith…’, i reckon ‘black celebration’ wasn’t that bad

yes, the cure are excellent live, unfortunately i only saw them once.
my favourite cure live album is entreat in which they play only songs from disintegration.

i didn’t think so many people loved the wish-era songs, i thought cure fans had for wish the same feelings ixx has for shameless or spyf.

That`s right - he is. He also used to have a german girlfriend. If you think DM look gay today, just look at the way they dressed in the eighties. Well that were the 80`s but still..did you have to wear those terrible hats like in the “just can`t get enough video” back then?
