Started by Gimme Back My Brainsaw

Ok every band from the 90’s seems to be reforming this year, so my question is who would you more than anything like to see reform

for me it would be Carter USM, i would love more than anything to see them live

(trivia : my dads first gig was a carter one wen he was 15)

Surely jimbob and fruitbag would be the best thing ever.

What’s awesome about hot dogs? *confused*

Put it this way, the one time they played in Leeds I didn’t know the gig was on so I was sat in a bar round the corner with a mate, complaining about what a boring night it was. On the way home, we run into a mate who tells me that not only had he just been to see The Beekeepers playing, but that it had been a free gig and wasn’t it strange that I, who loved them infinitely more that he did, hadn’t been there to witness it. Can’t believe he didn’t tell me. We didn’t speak much after that.

And then they broke up *starts crying again*.

they ARE reforming this year. :) But failing that, you can always go see JimBob. He does a fantastic acoustic show and plays a few CUSM numbers.

NO !

They had ONE good album, people, ONE.

Ian’s solo stuff is better, but Johns solo stuff so far has been absolute crap.

Mani is settled in Primal Scream too.

God knows what Reni is up to.

Wrong, Squall, cos Second Coming was a good album too - unfairly dismissed cos of the weight of expectation after the first one.

Love Spreads, Tears, Begging You, Breaking Into Heaven - all quality tunes.

I agree Ian Brown’s solo stuff pisses all over Squire’s, though.

all fantastic songs, yes, and add “ten storey love song” and “driving south”to that list.

But…

…the remaining 6 tracks?

Out of the remaining tracks, there’s only Straight To The Man that is what I’d call “poor”.

I think it is a good album, maybe not great or “classic” but still good.
