They’re also coming to Amsterdam on the 9th of December, and I have tickets, woohoo! They have been one of my favorite bands for years now, and I love their new album.

are foo fighters really worth all this excitement? i mean, sure they’ve made a few ok radio songs, but they’re not really that great of a band. they’ve played near my home numerous of times and i had no desire to see them. but then again that’s just me

correct… the new foo fighters song is a rip off of ‘add it up’ by the femmes… you can sing most of the femmes lyrics to the new foos song…

After the travoltas and feeder-thingies, again something we have in common Michael! the colour and the shape is in my top 3 of all-time-favourite-albums as well.. brilliant album, and not one bad song.. i’m going to see them in schaerbeek nov 30th, and i’m looking so much forward to that.. hiha! and yeah, and dave grohl… he simply is the man!

You just can’t hate Dave Grohl, can you? He’s a living legend, being the former drummer of Nirvana. Then he recorded the first Foo album, pretty much all by himself. After that, he comes up with one of the best albums ever made, and he just goes on and on. Plus he seems to be a really cool bloke, no rockstar bullshit whatsoever. Anyone who can drum, play guitar, sings, and writes songs the way he does deserves my respect.
And Gie, I didn’t know you liked Feeder too, at the moment they’re probably my second favourite band.

Hmm, Feeder is kinda 2-sided. To check the rocking side, I recommend the following songs:

Insomnia
My Perfect Day
Waiting For Changes
You’re My Evergreen
Hole in my Head
Turn
Come Back Around

As for the ‘slower’ side:

High
Yesterday Went Too Soon
Just the Way I’m Feeling
Forget About Summer

Just A Day wasn’t on Echo Park, it’s an EP, originally recorded in the Polythene period I think. It became popular after it appeared on the Gran Turismo 3 soundtrack, so they decided to make an EP of it. But add Just a Day to my list as well.

I have a couple of friends who know Feeder quite well so I’ve seen them a few times. Not really my style of music but they put on a good live show :)

Kiss Off is my favourite Violent Femmes song, though I don’t know that many.
