Because there are passwords, there will be an option to edit your own message afterwards if you regret something you said. Besides these things I will have better options to regulate this board. And no, there won’t be too much censorship. I will have several topics (boards) on here, and there will be some kind of total anarchy board here to which all messages posted in the wrong section and not fitting in anywhere else, will be moved.

I things get out of hand I will delete messages, but that’s only when things get really out of hand. By that I don’t mean G&R rage wars for example, they will just be moved to the anarchy board. A situation where I would delete messages, is when there is a T? related topic and suddenly someone posts a totally off topic message of some sort in between, by which other people could be offended.

Any more ideas?

There are numerous messageboards out there and each of them has it’s own topic(s). It would be stupid to allow all sorts of messages on all boards just for the sake of the fact that there shouldn’t be censorship. I think it’s better to have clear topics and types of messageboards (like this one is for Therapy?) than to have total anarchy. We all know what the messageboard on the official site looked like, and it wasn’t pretty.

Yup, I already saw the need for passwords a while back, for the exact reason you demonstrated here. There is a good possibility I’m free from work this friday, so I’ll be working on my site quite a lot then. I’m hoping to get the improved message board up this weekend. One of the things I will also be adding is dynamically splitting large topics in chunks of 40/50 messages a page. This to improve loading time. Cheers.
