they should steer clear of the stuff that relies on two guitars (unless they bring in a session player)

replace Safe with Perversonality
replace Don’t Expect Roses with Opal Mantra
replace Little Tongues First with Totally Random Man or even better Our Love Must Die
Walk Through Darkeness (that’s more of a live track) with RIse Up

then you’d have something there.

I really like the combined suggestions of Squall and FNYANKES.. but I also like the idea of voting for the webgig. Just cant decide what I like more.

A few Nurse songs would be nice though.
Hypermania.. gotta love that :P Maybe Zipless too. I never felt like I’ve really *listened* to Nurse.. it’s just been there when I put it on shuffle.

Actually now I think about it.. Nurse has some great songs. Cant believe I never noticed that before!

Definitively Nurse is one of the essential albums in T? Discography, it’s pretty different, very intense, for sure it’s only enjoyable in some moments of your life.

Yeah, the next webgig should be a ton of rare b side songs. Stuff that you don’t often see at gigs.

I think people on here would definitely go for that.

Bring it on.

as much as id love a load of b-sides on a webgig, would it be viable for them to do it? i mean we would buy it, but would joe bloggs buy it if it didnt have some of the ‘hits’ on it?

i like that plan soul doubt, a good mix for everybody, plus it may get people into the albums and not just the well known stuff!

As Michael has said that they wanna do something a little more unusual next time, maybe some covers and/or collaborations would be the way to go?

They could do a fizzy, distorted, angsty version of Supergrass - Alright :D

Hanging On The Telephone could work too, especially if they dedicated it to those people still on dial-up…

Or they could dedicate it all to Comic Relief and wear chicken outfits or something…?

(Or to look really stoopid they could dig out the Infernal Love clobber!)

I think they should steer clear of the covers. That way they don’t have to pay out any royalties on them.

have to disagree, its half baked. in an interview in Kerrang (i Think) around the time of Semi d Michael said it was half baked and i’d have to agree. The bones of a great song are there alright but it needs a few lungs and some skin etc

I dont know much about music so you’re probably right. I just like Hypermania for what it is and what it could’ve been (Just like many tracks on nurse) had it been produced a little better. :)

Wasn’t it the case that they were not granted permission to use various samples on the track?

As far as I recall (there was a discussion about this somewhere hear) this pissed Andy off and they just recorded the track without them.

I don’t know - love the drum beat and the psychotic schizo vocals. OK track by me.

love the schizo vocals but the chorus is a bit lame. More of a Bside me thinks.
