Think this has been raised before, but oh well. :)

I’d have a few T? songs shortlisted for my funeral:
Die like a motherfucker
Unconsoled
God Kicks would be cool
Wicked Man
Tango Romeo - I just love it.

i don’t think there’s been a specific T? funeral song thread before (correct me if i’m wrong).

5 years ago i’d have gone for brainsaw, but nowadays i’d go for long distance.

Avoiding too topical a song would be a good idea, unless you can write it down to be played right before you’re going to be crushed by a very specific form of deathness.

Long Distance, The Boy’s Asleep and Big Cave In are all good candidates for me, as far as T? is concerned.

The boy’s asleep would be just great for that occasion.

Morbid thread…

My funeral song if it had to Therapy? would be LOOSE

“Your body is loose and your going down”

Just as they plop me in my grave.

Other than that it would be the Birdie song…

the obvious choice and all

I’d go with crazy cocaine eyes if i died of a coke overdose, although im not a cokehead so thats not gunna happen.

How about rust, letchin corpse, quite fitting to the situation really.

gimmie, you’re missing out. It seems a good song if that’s the way to go.. in that vein, if someone were having a shake between hopeful beliefs and agnosticism or atheism Suing God would be great. The song would surely do any such situation justice. Rust would be great if you were really into Rock music or a rockstar, perhaps.

Die Laughing does seem an obvious choice. Maybe that would be a good April Fools death in a segue behind Stay Happy. :>

I find the good romantic choices make my eyes watery. So I abstained from that myself - although I might want to add Sister.. it seems epic beyond it’s litteral lyrics as good music is wont to do. :)

Although the song Me Vs. You, in it’s entirity might not be appropriate, the line “let the grass grow over me” repeated again and again kind of fits for me.

Suing God would indeed have been my choice - would be extra funny for a church funeral, maybe even get the vicar to read the lyrics out first :D

I think it’s hilarious, honestly. :)

Maybe an extremely old-school church of beliefs and rulesystems - the look on the faces of the present authorities would be compelling!

But, shock value aside, it’s a fitting song. Potent too.. I love the simple chords ringing in the webgig performance. That’s probably the one I’d use myself, although I wouldn’t say I’m very torn on the issue of hopeful beliefs and atheism/agnosticism. I find it easier to lose hope on all humanity and society’s future, so that you can get to doing your best to improve things.. the same’s true with my, and my friends’ mortality.
