“tatty seaside town”…

#

Started by ninjated (Liam)

i’m drunk & bored and came across this while searching for random bands and songs to keep me entertained.
it’s a stream of the original version by the membranes.
first time i heard it years & years… figured theres probably a few people on here who’d like to check it out.

I didn’t know the original version of tatie seaside town.
The Therapy? cover isn’t very different that the original. I like the 2 versions.

yeah the cover is played very simular to the original but was recorded 6 years after so the production is (slightly) better.
does anyone have other links to originals that therapy covered?
i think that was their most obscure cover, still, i havent heard husker du’s diane in a long time!

I on the other hand have never heard the T? cover of Tatty Seaside Town, but I quite like the original, being a big Stranglers lover.

The mix was horrible (at least on the version I have). The bass was so high it drowned everything else out.

If you go on youtube.com you can find “breaking the law” (original version by judas priest), and “iron man” (by black sabbath). very differents versions.
the therapy? cover of iron man appears on the album “nativity in black-a tribute to black sabbath”

I think it was a band called The Membranes who did Tatty Seaside Town?

When I was loading MTACT into iTunes it popped up that you could by the Iron Man (which has been there) and Where Eagles Dare (never saw that before)..

needless to say I bought both!

The B sides were produced by brother John Robb, who was a member of the Membranes. Check out his current band, they’re corkin’!
