Its just Therapy have much more substance to them… they have been around since 1990, maybe earlier, and they are STILL giong strong. How long do you think this fad of skate boreders with baggy pants and chains who hate everything will go on for? About another two months, and then will never hear of Limp “Dick” Biscut and co. again. (no offence to any skaters on the bored, but its a known fact that the two go hand in hand)
i just wanted to point out that after all it’s just history repeating itself. there will always be rock bands for depressed teens who cut there arms just cause they are dumb. i’m glad t? didn’t stick with that.
papa roach in my opinion is still one of the few bands mentioned in this thread who had at least one song i thought was good. but i don’t think the’ll make it far. one or two bands of this whole nu metal crap may be still recording records in 5 years, the rest will be gone and forgotten.

I was quite depressed to hear Lovehatetragedy, it’s not a patch on Infest, but maybe I’m not a hardcore enough fan of theirs - possibly out there are a loyal few, who, long after their singles have stopped bothering the charts, will still be discussing them on chatboards and dissecting their latest, more mature album…
Whoa! Deja vĂș!

ha. i used to be a skater myself… now i’m getting too old for that. ask any kid who began learning when they were 10 years old. they’ll tell you they’ve given up when they were 14!
we used to listen to rage against the machine, alice in chains, soundgarden and later the deftones and tool. and we had bruises. after we fell down trying to ollie for the first time. and if somebody for some unknown reason (not actually unknown) got other scars while growing up…well..i know that now they’re trying to hide them and the only thing they’ve ended up hating is summer when it’s hot for they have to wear shirts with short sleeves which can’t cover them enough..
i agree with silveria that bands like taproot (gonna see ‘em in january, yay) ill nino, sevendust, trust company and oms are worth a listening. and i’d say glassjaw as well.

I’m just mad because when i was 15 everyone at school thought i was a sad freak for the music i listened to, because everyone else was into dance music and Take That. But now all the 15 year olds like cool(er) music and i would have fitted in perfectly. Oh well. The only good things about the nu-metal fad is that a) cute underage boys think i’m a cool older woman and b) baggy pants hide a multitude of sins!
