Stereophonics - yay or nay?

Something about this band that always turned me off. Some songs are really catchy, but they all seem to be so lifeless and polished.

Stuart Cable =…well you know what i’m going to say… :D

I dont think anyone ( not even Graeme ! ) could deny he was shit :D

I prefer the rock stuff to the ballad stuff.

They are fucking terrible… i hate the songs the singer, can’t sing, and they are as dull as dido but slightly less rock n roll.

so that’s a nay if you didn’t catch that.

First album was okay, but then they disappeared up their arses, cancelled a gig that I was going to see, and generally started beliving they were godlike geniuses in a Lenny Krappitz sort of way, which gets on my tits. So do take a dump on the bonnet of their cars for me, if you see them.

Pretty much sums up my feelings on them too!

First album was good, plus the B-sides at the time had some interesting stuff on, but then it all went terribly “Travis”..

The first album is great. The second one not *that* great, but still good. And after that…*yawn*
Although - the last one was kinda okay again, so there’s hope the next one will be a bit better even?

EDIT: And Kelly Jones is indeed a little poser.

I’ll second that.

Their first album, Word Gets Around, is a classic, but everything else is just shite. I mean, trying seeing them in Wales - the whole concept of being Welsh gets shoved down the throat. Its like everyone else outside is scum.

So, no, I shall not be bothering this band again.
