The Sweetest Song - The Wildhearts
Download only single from new album.
Classic return to form from Ginger - massively heavy opening riff with a singalong melodic chorus - if the rest of the new album is this good I’ll be happy indeed.

I’m still more of a Husker Du fan but sugar were great.. apart from their last album..which was a bit shit.
I couldn’t sleep last night so have been listening to lots of music… many from years back.
Bomb the Bass- Clear
Janes Addiction- Nothing Shocking
Happy Mondays- Pills thrills and bellyaches
Massive attack- blue lines

its got its moments, but “the gift” is the best by a country mile, probably my fave sugar song actually. Not a big fan of the Du though, they bore me.

The problem with sugars last album is compared to Beaster and Copper Blue is that it’s not a patch on them both… so was disappointed when i heard it. Also the mix is terrible and you can’t play it on certian stereos as half the thing disappears.
Du is quite hit and miss, I don’t think Zen Arcade is as amazing as people say but i do like it… they are just a band i grew up listening to. Copper Blue is still my favourite thing bob was involved in. I don’t know what his solo stuff is like?
EDIT: i am playing F.U.E.L as we speak and it’s not as bad as i remember but still not as good as the other releases;)

no you’e absolutely right mate, the sound on FUEL is fucking dreadful. I don’t know wheher bob deliberately buries everything, but when he doesn’t (Copper blue) the results speak for themselves. I don’t know what his solo stuff is like, i never bothered either.
