I shudder, when I remember their song in the shadows.

nope, im serious.

‘hide from the sun’ is a brilliant album. it has some havy moments, yes heavy. some great songs, just 2 ballads.

there is a song on there which has a lyrical sequel to ‘in the shadows’ its called ‘night after night (out of the shadows) it isnt cheesy at all, not like its predecessor in fact, its starts with a metallic riff and melodic verses and metallic choruses.

i think it may surprise 1 or 2 people here.

I saw them live here in Tampere 96 or 97 was it, playing for a handfull of people and they´ve gone a long way from that day. Started as a “Chilipeppers clone band” and have created their own style. Maby they´re “kids music” but they´re doing it well. I can say that they´re way better than The 69 Eyes (another “kidsband” from our country) for sure which is a Danzig/Mission/Sisters of mercy/TON just name them, ripoff. Well that´s just my opinion. Go ooon Rasmus. Even Andy liked them at Ruisrock festival 2004:).

Sorry mate, but your beginning to sound like my mother. And that ain’t good in any situation (except maybe for Rammstein).

Jonathon Ross said it best “And for you ladies & gentleman, the Wazmus”! :D

ignore the first 4 albums, as they are baaaaad

but the 2 commercial ones id get, but essentially id go for ‘hide from the sun’ for a more mature and heavy sound. seriously its very good, then id buy dead letters, ‘time to burn’ has a great riff

I quitted reading Metal Hammer when they were telling that Finnish metal is gone bad when Rasmus (yes, they added the to their band name) came with the Playboys album (can’t remember was it named that way, maybe it is).

The Rasmus has taken all that new shit from HIM style, gone “gothic” and more rocking sound still being so “dark” kinda pop. Don’t really like the band, they used to play somekinda funkyshitmusic and now they’re just doing their thing because of money (what else did you expect?).

In few words: I just don’t like them.

just bought the new album, tis very good indeed so far, theyve kinda stuck with the same formula but way more mature, but theyve kinda added a slight 80’s sound as heard on their new single. best song so far is ‘youve got it wrong’ one of their heaviest songs to date :D
