Navel Piercing

#

Started by Viirkokka

My girlfriend wants me to get a Belly button piercing.. she reckons it’ll look really hot.

What are your opinions on guys with belly piercings?

I once read an article about a girl who got her belly button pierced but it got caught up in her boyfriends belt buckle and her whole belly button was ripped out :S

I guess that’s some sort of sick justice for dry humping.

But seriously.. ouuuch!

My gf want’s her’s done like.. we’ll both have it done at the same time. I reckon it would look quite good but I want to know what other people generally think about guys with belly piercings?

I’ve never ever heard of a guy having it done. I imagine it would make you look like a drag-queen, but what do i know? :)

I think it’s more something for ladies actually, but maybe that’s just me.

But yes I see where you’re coming from.. that’s what I was worried about getting it.. ‘cause some people would consider it gay.

Any other opinions on navel piercings?

it’s for 16 year old school girls that wear too tight t-shirt that are too short and a too tight hip jeans so the flab hangs over the side. So if you’re one of those —> please get one

You only live once - tell her to go for it. My ex had 12 piercings inclding her belly button and nipple, she had a few problems with them healing. If I were you I’d get somewhere else pierced, eyebrow, nose, lip..

Im not to sure about the belly button on a guy though

My sister had hers done but with a star in it and every time she sat down or bent over she got spiked… so make sure it’s rounded!

I don’t see why it would make you ‘look gay’ nor why you should care. I would say that I’d prefer a guy with a pierced nipple though.. that’s v sexy :D

If you should get that piercing you should do it because *you* want it, not because your girlfriend wants you to have one.

Equally you shouldn’t back out of getting one because some people think it’s “gay”.

I really like it but other people (e.g. my mum) find it repulsive, so you can’t please everyone. Besides, like Erik just said, if you’re going to disfigure yourself in some way it has to be because you really want to, not because of your girlfriend.

Even if you change your mind and take it out, you’re going to be permanently scarred.

Nah I’ve been considering it a while, before I knew my girlfriend. Her saying she likes it just fueled the fire a bit.

i had my navel pierced when i was younger…only problem was that it moved so now i have an odd shaped scar…

when i got it done i was in the middle of exams and i had a cold…my friend said that every now and then during exams she heard a sneeze and then a pityful “owwwww” from me…

edit: now i regret getting it done…

Who cares about the looking gay thing, not important if you want it done. However, only get it done if you really want it and know that scars come with it - I’ve got 2 from mine. I found out the hard way that surgical steel and I don’t get along vey well and didn’t get the titanium rings and bars in in time to sort it.

Just don’t do the forearms matey. Ohhhh, the scars that leaves…

A mate of mine got his pierced in the early 90’s cos Michael had it done. He got major amounts of stick for it off the other guys in his football team and took it out after about a fortnight.

I personally don’t get the whole thing about piercings, but I would not give up my tattoo’s for anything. Maybe’s it’s the sense of a truely permanent decision.

Again it’s all down to person preference, I agree with Erik & hooch - get it done because you want it, not to just make someone else like you more.
