Pip can’t really help you as I’ve only been abroad twice Switzerland (17-18 years ago) & Gambia (9 years ago).
Irony is I went to Switzerland in August & Gambia in November (still bloody hot).

Did I tell you I’m going to Dusseldorf? If I haven’t told you 40,000 times already I just got back from Amsterdam and now I’m off to Dusseldorf :D There’s more to this redundancy lark than they want you to know …

Well, I occasionally venture outside of Holland to go to gigs.

So far I’ve been to Belgium, France (well, the northern bit anyway), Germany, Austria (Innsbruck), der Schweis (Pratteln, going there again may 7th) and Luxembourg (saw the legendary Steve Hackett).

The only thing I’ve learned is that a. don’t go anywhere near Stuttgart with a car packed with suspicious looking goth types (unless you like drug searches by coppers) and b. German custom officers are far more relaxed (they simply ask if you have any cocaine, heroin or marihuana on you and take your word for it).

Travelling cool, been to quite a few places since I was little guess I was lucky to have parents who liked holidaying abroad. I’ve lived over the years in Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, L.A and Kentucky… but i don’t recommend the last one even though i was only two, the others were for work.

I got here was at the Spring and Airbrake last night at a AC/DC tribute band which was cool bar being extremly hungover today ( I had to try all the beer I can’t get on Tap back home ;) )and I’m heading there again tonight I met up with Colin? he’s a sound man told me to avoid places so I won’t my head kicked in :( hope I have good fun here I’m satying till Tuesday.

I don’t know about that but I did enjoy walking all the length of the Manchester Curry Mile. Stopping a couple of times along the way. :D

There’s only two curryhouses, they’re just really wide. And the bar is on the left as you walk in, so that’s half a mile of walking for one curry. That’s not fastfood; that’s exercise. :mad:

and beat your record of 4 curries in the space of one mile? I think most people walk a mile in about 15-20 minutes!

You could speed it up a bit by alternating your curries with take aways and then by the time you’d finished you’d be at the next one :)

Beer is cheaper than water, food is ace and there are lots of hot european girls floating about in tiny dresses.

I was supposed to be doing some work, but I tossed it off in favour of drinking myself unconscious every day.

We’ve had the cormorant discussion - there was an entire thread dedicated to what constituted a good shag.

I was supposed to be mapping a mountain range in the Hautes Savoie, but I couldn’t be arsed. Turns out that if I had not imbibed 24 bottles of Strasbourg’s finest a day for 2 months, I would more than likely have passed my degree.

Shame nobody told me at the time.
