1. How do you change your profile details?

2. Why can’t we have avatars?

3. Why can’t we quote someone until there has already been a response?

4. Is there a way of sending someone a private message?

As I say, sorry if these have been answered elsewhere, but quite honestly I can’t be arsed to trawl through every single thread! ;)

3) Because there is no need - it will appear as the next link in the thread so it will logically appear as the reply. You can DIY quotes with a spot of square bracket abuse.

4)if you click on the member name it will show you their profile - if they wish to have emails from the board, you can send a message privately to them from there.

Hope that’s OK - hooch please correct me if I’m wrong (unless it’s to tell me that avatars are not like aardvarks please)

Incidentally, an avatar is not like an aardvark. I made that mistake once. It turned ugly… :p

Some interesting points about avatars there, although my sentiments are with the original poster (Dermot) about individuality. But hey, it ain’t my board to run, so whatever you choose is fine by me. :)

If Rene (Teethgrinder) made it so that the size was preset and there was an option to turn them off then I’d live :)
