Program to create drum sounds/patterns

#

Started by Superunknown

I like to records demos on guitar but I’m sick of this very artificial sounding drum computer I have to use. Can anyone recommend some software that creates good drum sounds? It would be nice if it would be easy to handle, too. ;-)

Yeah I would agree with Squall, the drum programmer in it is really easy to use and has some good internal sounds that can be messed with. Also it accepts AIFF’s so you can use your own drum samples if you own any. They used to do a free Trial demo download, I don’t know if this is still the case?

I also use Battery but I think that is just a plug-in usable with Pro Tools, the sounds on that certainly the stereo kit are amazing and very real sounding.

Hello there

Pro Tools and Battery are softs that we only can use them with Mac OS 8/9. Except Fruity Loops being able to run under Windows, do you know any softs like those ?
(free if possible)

its too simple, its ok tho, if you download some drum sounds from the net, the included sounds suck.

i usually program a drum loop into the fm8 synth plugin by massive instruments then sequence it in ableton live.

so creating your own synth sound is complex and time consuming, mine sound shite.

I usually end up editing the pre programmed ones

I would habe replied that way, had I notlearned from your comments that the name of the program must be “Reason” ;)

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I’ll see if I can check out some of these programs.
