Any NI fans know who is the fave for the job? Danny Wilson is being touted for it. As a pools fan I certainly hope he doenst get it we need him for league 1.

cant fancy the wolves if it goes to pens tonight, we have missed 7 (in all competitions) this year! and only scored one in open play :(

Pens are crap, but hey, it has to be decided on the night. I for one would not have survived a replay. Shame though that away goals don’t count… :rolleyes:

‘Tis been a very good season for us, I never believed we’d make the playoffs as we are still a rather wobbly side after 60mins and we let in too many late goals. But Burley is doing a fantastic job and a few good youngsters are coming through. If we can hold on to Gareth Bale (which I doubt…) and get Saganowski on a permanent transfer, maybe get one or two good players in the silly season, we can push for automatic promotion.

Hey man I’m not trying to wind you up, I know of the play-off pain all to well, 3 times we have lost out now including the most painful game I’ve ever experienced losing at Wembley to a last minute Leicester goal in 94. I just thought the t-shirt Viafara was showing off after he scored was not really fair to our fans, cos its painful losing out especially as we have been in the top 2 for most of the season.

I hate the play-offs, should be the top 3 go up.

Your right btw, Burley is a quality manager, even though his social life is questionable. How he got derby in the play-offs two seasons ago in their dyer situation then was nothing short of a miracle.

I actually thought at the beginning of the season the saints were one of the favourites with burley in charge, cos I noticed they were coming into form at the back end of the previous season. Maybe next year eh, but I really don’t think Ideikez is as good as he used to be..maybe its time to let him go.

I think on the night the players found they had nothing left in the tank, so to speak, which is a shame cos on form Wolves could easily have got a win at the H********s

‘Tis good, ‘tis good. I actually prefer Derby to go up, I would go as far as to say they will tear the Baggies apart at Wembley. Actually I would like to see Kevin “C*nt” Phillips score a hattrick and for Derby to make it 4:3 in the 95th minute. That’ll teach the bastard. :D

All the premier league clubs have had copies of the documentation, that the premier league (and their lawyers) have deemed to be acceptable. A FIFA statement has said that the transfer of Tevez from Corinthians to West Ham was up to their standards, so they can’t get too shirty. But the thing that gets me is the fact that these chairmen who are “crying foul play” have (along with all the other chairmen of the premiership) somehow forgotten the they signed an agreement that meant that they would accept the punishment, whatever it was, that West Ham would suffer - that is premier league rules in action. :mad:

So where was Middlesborough’s second set of points deduction for having a manager who did not meet the basic standards for being able to job under the legislation???? No they let him continue.

Where have been all the points deductions for crowd trouble that under both the FA’s & Premier League’s rule can be brought to bear? They have done none of it.

Spurs should have been banned from playing in Europe after their security failed to stop that “fan” coming onto the pitch after the FA Cup game between Spurs & Chelsea.

So it isn’t as simple as that - there have been double standards in football for years - query is would there have been such a forore if it had been Marlon Harewood banging those goals & performances in the last few months? And the answer would be no. The premier league have said that they are satisfied with the situation. I wonder if it does go to court & the “Band of Four” lose - Can West Ham sue them all for defamation of character & slander - as that is what they are doing. Have they provided proof that Tevez playing for the last few month illegal? No. The premier league & West Ham have done all the running in providing proof. If they have proof, get the court actions under way so that it can be heard. Please so it can be sorted out one way or another, because if they don’t do it soon the fixture lists will be done & dusted for next season.

I wasn’t one of those advocating Champions League football as the next stop - As I wasn’t in the best of way’s when they signed, work colleagues had to tell me about it (and I thought they were taking the piss). You need at least 7-8 world class players to think about european football nowadays & we ain’t got that at West Ham.

I’m sure the saints fans would of done the same if they beat Derby on pens at home and were going to Wembley..

You and all the other Southampton fans I’ve seen calling Derby on all the boards over the last few days need to get over it and look forward to next season..
