Still being drunk this late at night, this time of life? is this what I have?I was made redundant thi week, I did a shit degree, i have no trade, is this it.I play music that no one will ever hear, i write lyrics no one ever sees, i think things no one will ever be interested in.Id work, Id work hard if i could see results. Id dig ditches, Id clean roads, just for job satisfaction… Dont think Ive been this way in a while..

As for the job - there’s no such thing as job satisfaction these days - even starting your own business and doing shit your own way has been made virtually impossible thanks to Tony Fucking Blair so do something that passes the time and pays well, take the money at the end of the month and don’t worry about it…works for me! :)

I’ve been in clerical work from about 5 months after leaving 6th form. And have been stuck in non-satisfying work for the last 12-13 years.

buffalo-boy is right about job satisfaction nowadays, it is dying at an ever increasing rate. But it doesn’t stop you from thinking about retraining in a trade or skill. Look around where you live & think what trades/skils are lacking in your area and which of those you think you could trun you hand to. As you can always do a correspondence course around your new wonderful job you’re going to get.

But don’t ever get rid of your creative side of life, as it’s what makes you you. I don’t know what it takes in terms of drive to do the music making/song writing, but I can tell you it sucks to have no talent or drive to be talented at all.

Chin up son, you’ll get there.

Jesus shitting Christ, mate! You seem to dismiss everything anyone likes or does. Relationships, sex, jobs, football, other tastes in music and/or bands, people drinking, smoking, taking drugs, meat, being happy, enjoying our short stay on earth. Not for me it doesn’t…if I can’t sleep it’s usually because I have things on my mind, and weed makes my mind work overtime, so I find it even harder to drop off.

I’ve not had the best of times, but I know that there are others out there who are having it worse than me. But sometimes the memories get too much & some nights I end up crying myself to sleep.
