The Ark

Soooo, anyone else here who loves them? ;)

The new album is SOOOO good, a true return to form after the slight disappointment that was “State Of The Ark” :D The new one, “Prayer for the Weekend” is a real feel-good, diverse singalong record and I always play it LOUD when I’m in my car :D

(PS - No slagging because of the ESC, you hear me? ;) )

The Ark is way too much hyper-hyped band. In Eurovision contest they just sucked big time. Prayer For The Weekend is just good album but not anything else. There are many filler songs instead of killer songs on the new album. Absolutely No Decorum is my fave song from the entire album.

Just my opinion this one too.

I think State Of The Ark was a great album. Not as good as In Lust We Trust but way better than the new one. On the new one there’s something ripped in every song. I’ve recgnised the Grease theme amongst others.

No, this surely isn’t their best effort to date.

Maybe in Sweden and Finland ;)

@Fiestaboy: IMO State Of The Ark lacked everything that The Ark is about in most places.

Maybe it was too glam and maybe too seventies over all but the new one is too look at me, I’m gay and proud of it. I think it’s more gay than both Scissor Sisters albums put together.

I can’t see that it’s any “gayer” (if there’s such a word anyway) than all their previous albums?
Plus, there’s nowt wrong with being gay (which he actually isn’t, by the way) :)

So he’s the exact opposite of Kele Okoreke who is gay but makes very powerful and straight forward music.

Ah well, I think it doesn’t really matter, I’m not as fond of the new album as I was/am about the previous ones.
