Went to see Motör “Fucking” Head at Lille last tuesday with Jeffq and his “crazy french northern mates” :D.

For my good friend Petri here’s the set list :

Snaggletooth
Stay Clean
Be My Baby
Killers
Metropolis
Over The Top
One Night Stand
I Got Mine
In The Name Of Tradegy
Sword of Glory
Chase Is Better Than The Catch
Rosalie (dedicated to Phil Lynott)
Sacrifice (+ Mikkey’s solo )
Just Cos You Got The Power
Going To Brazil
Killed By Death (+ Phil’s solo)
Iron Fist

=== ENCORE ===
Whorehouse Blues
Ace of Spades
Overkill

Noticed that Mikkey on Whorehouse while playing acoustic guitar kept the rythm with a bass drum, and apparently he didn’t do that on other french dates on that tour.

Took more pleasure at that gig than the Paris’s one last december,I could mosh as well like I used to do when I was 16/18 :D

WOW, thanks for the setlist David!
Snaggletooth as opener and The Chase in the setlist!!!Hope those songs will be there too when they hit Finland and Seinäjoki in the end of July! And Mikkey using bassdrum while “playing” the acoustic guitar! He didn´t smash the acoustic this time, have done that too many times, get way too expensive for him and MH:D
Any pics from the event?

Riistetyt, Control plays The Clash and Kohu-63 at Vasta Virta Klubi here in Tampere last nite.
The nite was allowed for “old punks” over 35 so the average age of the posse was around 40-50 years:)
Nice event and how excellent Control played those Clash classics: Safe european home, Guns of Brixton, What´s my name, I fought the law etc. etc.
Riisteyt and Kohu-63 in excellent gig condition once again. Dunno how many of you know these Finnish hardcore punk veteran bands, check them out if you can!

You mean he used to break his acoustic guitar during playing on whorehouse blues ? I’ve seen Motorhead performing this song twice and there was no pb…

I’ll send you the pics of the gig that Jeffq took and sent me, on your email and ask him if he took some more during the acoustic session.

Heard just rumours that Machine Head will come over here later in the fall and play Tampere icehall. Concidering to go there. I´ve seen them once at Nummirock festival, Kauhajoki here in Finland back in summer 2000. They played after Therapy? and the sound was horrible, maby the mixer was a bit too drunk:)I went totally deaf there in the audince and Kati felt the same too:(

@ kossu: do go to Machine Head if you have the chance, they are much better in a club compared to a festival gig!

And they are doing a full European tour that’s starting somewhere in September / October timeframe.

O yes, and we had to wait for an hour until they started and then they played for 40 to 50 minutes and then it was over. It was not quite as i had expected. But at least i’ve seen Patton live in action for the first time.

Excellent weekend if you’re into that kinda thing.
Seen Boyd Small Band ( with Monti Amundson ) , Rony Verbiest and Mark Murphy to name a few.
Full listing here :

Highlight of the weekend was Boogie Boy from Belgium doing a Ray Charles Tribute gig. Never seen a 60-year old stage-diving before like him !!!

To be honest, I was only there because I was working, and got bored after about 15 mins or so. Doesn’t take away from the fact that they are good, just didn.t work for me in a live environment. I could probably happily listen to a cd of theirs in the background at work or something.

Finally got our picture with Corey Taylor! But he seemed to be in a bad mood or is simply not the most friendly guy we ever met

Rest of the band was pretty cool though, except for James Root who was in a bad mood as well and didn’t feel like being on any picture

Black label society & Ozzy at Hartwall arena last nite in Hellsinki.
BLS: well, a tight 45 mins set. I don´t know very well their material but there was a couple of good/excellent tunes there.
Ozzy: he sang better than I expected as there was going on rumours that he has lost his voice almost totally. Quit short set, 13 songs inc. two Sabbath ones (War pigs&Paranoid(Of course:)).
Bark at the moon, Mr Crowley, Not going away,Beliver, Road to nowhere, Suicide solution, I don´t know, Here for you
,I don´t want to change the world, Mama I´m coming home, Crazy train.
It was an excellent gig, worth spending the money again.

And it was nice to meet Pogue Mahoney there before Ozzy´s set. See U Pogue at your gig here in Tampere, I´ll be there in the frontrow, singing, U know what;)
