Father’s Day

Any wombles in the position to qualify for this annual commercial feast ?

Besides the card and the roast-dinner-with-favourite-wine , Cuch junior surprised me yesterday with a new shirt and the CD 1977-The Spirit of Punk. Excellent choice and such great taste for a 2-year old :D

On Saturday I got him a card with a saw, hammer and nails on it with a message on the inside saying “You’re a really handy Dad to have around”. Then I went and drunkenly broke my key in the door of my house after coming back from an Indian Jewelry gig. Had to kick my front door in at 2AM. Got my Dad round to help fix the door and lock yesterday afternoon.

Oh the irony! :p

Normally his wife would have bought the present and card on behalf of their two sons as they are too young to sort that out for themselves (5 and 10), so, instead of risking that his ex-wife might not have still organised a card and pressie, my wife sneaked around, got some ideas and made sure a card and present were all ready and wrapped up and written on for him yesterday, so that he had a Father’s Day gift from the kids.

A nice thought, I am sure you will agree.
