Welcome to the brand new Therapy? message boards! Find out what’s new or give us your feedback.

Please welcome our first Community Leader!

Started by Teethgrinder (René Fennema) Administrator

Up until now, I have been trying to moderate and manage the message boards on my own, but time constraints, an increasing number of members and posts and my back problems (which are getting better, though) result in the fact that it is not being managed in the way I would like it to be.

This is the reason I have asked Sarah, on the boards known as hoochalobster, who has been a respected member for almost a year now, to become the first Community Leader at the Wall of Mouths. Please join me in welcoming Sarah in her new role!

Sarah will share some of her time and talent to help build good fellowship on the Wall of Mouths, moderate its contents and answer questions from members about using the message boards. She has already been a big help in writing the new guidelines for the message boards, and will look after enforcing the guidelines on the message boards.

Which brings me to this. I would like to encourage everyone to read our brand new guidelines, which will allow us to moderate and enhance the Wall of Mouths while providing a better user experience for you, our members. If you have any questions or comments regarding the guidelines, please ask them in this thread if possible, or otherwise e-mail Sarah at sarah@teethgrinder.com.

Community Leader eh? Wow, what a promotion! Sounds like we’ve formed a new religion here, come on, jooooooooooin us!
Also took a look at the guidelines, I will abide by the rules, SIR YES SIR!!!
Anyway, good to know your back is getting better René, and that someone can (partly) take over your task!
Can we still call you Sarah, or do we have to call you drillsergeant Sarah, or your highness Sarah?

And you’re starting to sound like Ronald.. :-)

Thanks for reading the guidelines. They might seem a bit strict at first, but recent events have made them necessary. However, the large majority of everyone here was already abiding by them when they weren’t even here, so you don’t have to expect a much stricter approach to moderating the boards.

They’re simply here to prevent discussion and confusion when we moderate something, and will make the Wall of Mouths a better place for everyone. :D

Hey! You got rid of thingy about skinning Bob! Always thought that that was funny.

Glad your back’s getting better - bad backs can be a pain (no pun intended), so it’s good that you’re on the mend.

Hope you’re not going to be too strict about going off topic…

Is there any way to not get notified about updates? I keep clicking on ‘unsubscribe from all threads’, but seem to get an email each time I post onto a new thread - can this be disabled permanently?

;)

Yes, I still like the ‘skinning Bob’ line as well, it’ll probably return someday.. It’s just that I’m completely addicted to old Super Nintendo games at the moment (you have to do something when you’re lyring on the couch resting your back ;-)), and Zelda is my favorite, so I decided to change my signature to reflect this.

Regarding the notifications, there is an option in your control panel to automatically subscribe to all threads you are involved in, and it was set to ‘yes’ in your account, so that explains all the notifications. I have set it to ‘no’ for you.

Thanks, that’s cool, and serves me right for not looking at things properly in the first place - you are officially the coolest administrator on this board ;)

Where did the Skinning Bob thing come from? I thought it was funny too!

Yay, congrats Hooch! I wondered why you suddenly had a new title under your name (serves me right for not checking this section more often…) Hope you’ll still have time to play Tetralink and stuff! And try not to forget your roots, y’hear? :D

Awww, do i really have to stay on topic? Wandering is so fun! Okay, i’ll be good… *big innocent look*

Innocent look? From she that has ‘distrcted so many of us serious types away from the matter at hand?

I guess “Alan” is too boring a name for a mod! Alas, I can never be …

I vote Dr. Bigjoint as next mod, as he’s a serious nutcase when it comes to Therapy? bootlegs :-) And his name is cooler than mine!

Who’s with me?

I vote for Blonde Blade, as she is funny and might stop think I’m stalking her if I do something nice, although if it were me, I’d think that this was a fool plan to get her out and about more often, so I take that back and nominate Sabotage instead, as his (I assume), Israel plans seem to indicate that he’d be good at keeping the peace.

Can I be ‘Vice President’? Or something with vice in it anyway?

Yes, this <ahem> irony board has me in creases…

Why are all American cops either ‘the white dude’ or ‘the black dude’? What about the rest of the people spectrum?

Might get GTA Vice City for Christmas. Will stop this silliness now though. Keep telling myself to get a grip…

Cheers guys for the comments, my first day seems to be going well :D

As Rene said, not much is really going to change (though I am planning to learn about 3 chords to torture White Psycho with ;)). I think I’m probably the worst person here at keeping on topic so I’m not sure how that one will pan out. If you could label your replies “this might as well be a new topic” it would really help!

Blonde Blade…if Jagex ever lets me log on again (gits) I will destroy you with my awesome ability to make lines of four. In the meanwhile, have a look at http://www.cco.net/~jpete/deepthou.htm .

HRH Sarah (or just Hooch ;))

Title: Too lazy to quote everyone ;)

Sabotage: I like your rules :) Mmm…Hooch…when I was on GCSE study leave me and a mate bought three crates of it reduced cause it was past it’s sell-by and drank the lot in a two day very hazy binge. Better than revision, though strangely I can still remember word for word the technical definition of osmosis. Which is nice.

Alan: I object to the term mod - I do not ride a moped and I hate Paul Weller.

Robby / Roxy: I am pro party time :D So either everybody raises lots of cash to get to my house or we just all get some beer and sit in front of the computer talking bollocks. Wait a minute…
