T? wanted it more like SPYF but A&M demanded some more pop punk radio hits on it. So the boys had to write some.

I can’t believe Nurse has attracted any votes. That is a superb album, distinctive, far better than anything Kurt “Self pitying” Cobain could knock out.

This is the one area where I don’t think you can compare the material the band has done, each of the albums is different from the rest and at least they don’t keep churning out the same old stuff.

Personally I don’t think there is a “worst” album and the person who started this thread should be ashamed.

As I said before, just take it easy man!

And to throw more petrol into the fire: Nurse got MY vote!

I reckon SP…YF is one of the best now - it took a few listens - basically because i thought Andy was taking the piss with the vocals to begin with! :p

I agree wholeheartedly with Markojii. OCFA just doesn’t work - it sounds really dated to me. And thats something bands like T? REALLY need to avoid.

Whaaaaaaaaaattt???

Pleasure Death is an awesome album!
What are you talking about?

And why all the angst towards SPYF.. The first four songs alone are awesome and far surpass any of the fuzzy warbles we hear on the radio from most other bands. Not only that but those 4 alone would be all the good content from a considered good album, and then there would be all the filler.

BUT NO, wait! With SPYF there isn’t filler because it then goes on to 6 Mile Water, Little Tongues Firsy (With a neat opening on that.. I love that sound)
It goes on to God Kicks.. very dark, tired and sinister.. a great track. Can almost imagine a drunk person muttering the words to himself.

And dont forget Sister at the end.. another good, pumpy fast quite catchy track and then the bonus at the end “Thankyou for Vietnam” (I’m pretty sure thats not it’s name) - Overall a classy album with some great lyrics and music!

It´s sad to read comments (and specially here) about OCFA but this is free world and everyone have got their opinions and I respect them. For me OCFA really is the best album and I´m proud to confess that one. I feel everytime so good when I put the disc into the player, dunno what´s so special about it compairing to the others. There is just SOMETHING! Could have easily picked TG or IL or any else of those previous classic recordings but then I had lied to myself and you others.
Got tears in my eyes when I did read Marko´s writing on his website, so that site is closed now:(
Marko, if you´re reading this: you and Minna have always a warm place in our hearts. Meidän hyvät ystävät! Hyvät kesän jatkot ja nähdään Amojen keikoilla.

Petri, I agree with you totally about OCFA - certainly not the worst album. I’d rank it second after Suicide Pact which is full of great songs from start to finish. OCFA has a couple of poor songs (Lose It All, Fear of God), but the others are among the best Therapy? have ever written - Sprung, Deluded Son, DSA, Rain Hits Concrete, Unconsoled, Walk Through Darkness!!! Come on, people!

Off topic slightly… You’re right about Marko’s comments on his website - I was disappointed but understanding while reading them, until I came to the following comment “what makes me extremely sad is the fact that no-one ever missed me”. Quite frankly, I was amazed at this comment! I was certainly aware that he was no longer on the site, and you certainly were too… less whining please, Marko! :)

I knew that you love OCFA too:)
Andy was a bit “confused” about this production/dated style hass what has been around in these disgustions over here: whatever they do there´s still people who aren´t happy with this and that, U know what I mean. It happened with SPYF, NANE, Shameless etc. Yeah, folks have different opinions and everyone has right to say whatta fuck they want to say, but people should really think carefully what they´re blaming about.
OCFA is a GREAT album and we are grateful that T? is still around and releasing stuff in different formats.
I knew about this Marko thing over a year ago and I was really confused and sad about it. But after all he´s still my buddy, I personally hope so:) And it´s not my thing to talk about his thoughts here and I miss him here as there isn´t not so much finns here these days:(

I know that Mikehell is reading and Andy sometimes too:) and they know that they cannot please everyone and I bet that isn´t their main thing. They just do the music they love and are self happy with. And that´s how it should be with every freakin´ band who releases records. I bet there are still people who are pissed with all the previous albums too, Gum, IL etc. This is how this world is. Period and stop on this fuckin´topic from my side:)

I like ocfa, i didnt at first, but now i appreciate it, its one of my favorites.

the production isnt as bad as people make out, its just a bit different. and i think the songs are fantastically memorable. the one line chorus adds to the singalong ability

In fact im going to go and listen to it on my new set up upstairs in a minute :)

I still dont like semi detached that much though, and I know alot of people consider it theyre favorite album and ocfa their least, it all stems down to personal opinon really. im glad all of us wombles have different musical taastes with therapy? the thing that links us all together.

you know, i’ve been thinking about this, and it might not really be true… yes the poll makes it seem that way, but if someone was to undertake doing a proper poll i think you would see a difference (or maybe not, and that would be interesting too)…

basically someone should start a new thread where you rank every album from your fav to least fav… since there are 11 albums, the fav gets 10 points, second fav gets 9 points, and so on… your least fav would get 0… then the person would count up all the points for each album and you’d really get a feeling for what albums are peoples favs/least favs…

notice i said ‘someone’… ie. no me, as this idea is much more work than just clicking a button on a poll, and i really don’t have the time to be adding up everyones scores.. but if someone have the time/energy/desire, then i think it should be done, cause it would be much more accurate than fav album/least fav album polls…
