The ‘97 one was the show recorded by MTV/RTE. The band sent letters again but this time I had to reply saying that I would be there, so then I got a laminated ticket in the post. There was a bunch of competition winners at the gig too, I remember. They won tickets on Dave Fanning’s show.
The ‘96 one in the Attic/White Horse (the place owned by Len Allen who died recently) was the best though. Upstairs in a tiny pub, and the band had to walk through the jam-packed crowd to the tiny stage. then they started with Punishment Kiss, and the place went mental… :)
