Just downloaded ‘em, my first pay-to-download album actually. I’m not liking this DRM shite one bit - will have to try the CD trick to get the tracks on my mp3 player.

The songs though - fucking great!

Ah shit :( Don’t know how Napster can justify that price :s

Just a question about “Auto Surgery” from the Sessions.

Does anyone else’s version have 3 seconds of a jazz intro at the start? If not, mine’s all fucked up!

I have the jazz intro too so you´rs isn´t fucked up:)
BTW; gongratz for “winning” the promo version of it, does the promo one have that jazzy thing too?

Well it is from a radio show, I assume they just couldn’t cut it out without it sounding stupid or abruptly hacked off.

Oh yeah - mine has it too, I assume that it is the norm.

Well, regardless of it being broadcast as part of a radio show, the tracks on the album would have been sourced directly from the master tapes used in the recording studio, no? (ie. not a recording of the actual show).

It seems if everyone’s copy has the thing before Auto Surgery, then it was the bands idea to put it in, back when it was originally recorded!

I do miss the Terry Wogan intro that was specially recorded for High Noon, though! Shame it was chopped!

Thanks Petri! Yeah, the promo has it. I haven’t heard Auto Surgery from the actual download yet (which is why I asked the question!) - I only downloaded a couple of songs for listening pleasure here at work, and was too lazy to download them all (especially since I can’t burn them to cd anyway!)

Hmmm, just noticed that the promo cd has the same version of Totally Random Man (Rock Show 93) on there 3 times.

So the Peel and Evening Session versions aren’t actually on the promo. A bit of a pisser really! I’m surprised Universal get it wrong… then again maybe not.

Speaking of Universal, does anyone else find it strange that the bands’ record company of 10 years ago is doing more promotion for Therapy? now, than their current label Spitfire?

Universal have alot more money than spitfire, its like comparing Bill Gates to Taunty Dan

i think universal are trying to turn t? into a nostalgic act, which if sucesful will mean an increase in venue size but all the extra crowd memebers will be the people whove only ever heared troublegum

Did these guys just download them, burn it on cds and print the booklet or is this some official pressing?

Sent the seller that exact question on eBay - wait and see.

A seller with a feedback like that don’t usually take such risks + there was this promo cd that Alan won on ebay a while ago, downloads usually don’t get promo cd’s (and definately not complete versions), so I dare to think a cd is on it’s way. :)

Cool,

my final question would be - why do they have it before it hit the shops?

Ah, just seems to be good to be true, but if this does somehow get released, I am straight off to the shops to get it.

Ha ha, they don’t. They’re all pre-sell. If you look closely, they don’t ship until the release date. I personally never bother with those auctions. You tie yourself in to a deal, then may find it cheaper or receive it quicker elsewhere.

That Gimme, is the music industry… One dirty business.
Their logic? let me guess…
Thinking that real fans will buy it anyway if they see it in the stores, even if they already bought the download. Plus there’s still people who are against downloads, people without a creditcard, or people who don’t know how to use computers and will only buy it when they see it in the stores?
Money, money, money… But not for those who really deserve it… Would the band get a decent share of the profit?

Andy, Michael and Neil got each one copy of the last Universal comp dvd and they didn´t mention getting any money to me (hope they got some/are getting some of the sales).
I´m deffo gonna get the proper BBC 2cd release to my collection and it don´t matter that I got the downloaded version already.
So Andy didn´t talk any rubbish last April in Vienna when he said that the BBC one will get properly released:)
