Looking forward to this next month (Our Love To Admire)…Antics was was one my favourite albums of the last few years.

Carlos D has grown a comedy moustache to celebrate the release of the new album:

I like Antics but preferred the first album. What’s your opinion on ‘Turn on the Bright Lights’?

I’m really looking forward to the new stuff, it’s taken them long enough!

The Heimrich Maneuver (sic) off the new album is really good so it looks promising for the new album.

I prefer TOTBL when I’m in the right mood for it but I can listen to Antics any time I want to and when it’s really appropriate to listen to that album I almost get aggressive listening to Not Even Jail. That song has so much power in it but it’s sung with to much integrity that it almost aches to listen to it.

Antics is brilliant and I can listen to it again and again without getting bored. I found the record really challenging for the first few times but it is still growing.

Take You On A Cruise and Public Pervert are my favourite tracks. The whole album is full of hooks and nice melodies and rhytms. I like the lyrics they’re not like on every bloody pop or rock album. Banks’ voice is incredible and Interpol’s sound world is really tight.

Antics is cold and warm at the same time. Antics is easy to listen but not taken that lightly. Someone told me that it’s okay if you play Antics while doing something. Like music is played on the background. I’ve tried to do something at the same time but I can’t just let the music go pass my ears. I have to come and sit on just like being in trance or hypnotized by someone. Like someone’s commanding me to listen to Antics. It’s not the same thing with the debut album. I can listen to that and sometimes I get bored with the record. Debut is really good, but Antics is a pure masterpiece.

But the new song. I got hooked on it and trying to fight my way out of the hook. :P Again, when the album is done I’m going to buy that. Like I did with Antics after I saw Evil music video.

Glad they didn’t break up.

I got it the other week… it’s not too bad, need to listen to it more. Still prefer Antics.

I don’t think it’s as good as Antics either. Carlos D’s bass seems to have been turned down which is a shame.

The new one is a little bit more polished, but that possibly has something to do with being on a major and the producer who did the last Muse album. The more i listen the more i enjoy the album.
