Fire Walk With Me was okay, v. good in places. But, If you try & compare it to the TV series - you’ll end up coming very close to losing your mind.

Curse of the Golden Flower (3 Sept. on DVD from what I’ve been told by a mate). I had to got to Tottenham Court Road Odeon, as that was the nearest one showing it. Good film, not as good as Hero, but slightly better than House of Flying Daggers.

I saw Babel last week. Carefully checked that it wasn’t dubbed as I was watching it in a Croatian cinema.

I wasn’t anticipating that 3/4 of the film would be in Spanish, Moroccan, Japanese, and sign language however…with Croatian, not English, subtitles. The result was I only understood the sections with Brad Pitt and that Australian actress who played Queen Elizabeth whose name escapes me :(

Cate with a C, I’ve just found out. That in itself is pretty annoying.

So, is Transformers a 12A or PG? Showcase lists it as a 12A, but the weekly email from Cineworld says PG…

I’d really like to see that one, but today ‘s the first day they show it in Belgium, so it’ll be too crowdy, and for some reason, people over here think that cinema is synonym for pub. They can’t shut their mouths, I might be old fashioned, but I like it to be quiet when I watch a film.
Therefor I should wait a few weeks to see it, but then there’s the risk the original version isn’t playing anymore, and I’ll have to go to the dutch version, … bye bye jokes…

What bastard did ever invent dubbed movies!? :(
