Have They Gone And Done It?

#

Started by marchorsbrough (Marc Horsbrough)

I’ve been a regular watcher of the T? website for the last two or three years and this seems to be the longest period I’ve ever known when there’s been no update from the band and no content placed on the site. I’m not sure, but all this seems to point to a slowing down of T? activity in general. This summer in particular they don’t seem to have done many gigs/festivals/site updates/interviews. Unless someone knows something to the contrary, does anyone else think there may be something more ominous to all this than just a break? Have they split or what?

Who knows? I’d be inclined to doubt it - If they didn’t split up after Semi Detached didn’t do very well, I can’t see why they’d split up now, Unless the whole touring/recording merry go round is starting get boring. Maybe the records aren’t selling anough to keep going anymore.

Anyways, to paraphase something I saw in a T? review once -No one ever made money by writing off this band.

Nothing to worry about, they’re just in between albums and tours. Sure, they played a few festivals and the like, but the most recent album was out last year and the heavy touring that accompanies an album’s release was done then. I imagine they’re just recharging their batteries before heading back to the (rehearsal) studio.

Also, don’t forget, this year there has been the webgig, a DVD compilation and next Monday the BBC sessions get a release on cd. Not too shabby!

I’m sure the boys need a break after all the shows that they’ve done off the support of OCFA.

I’m sure this site will keep ya posted, another reason to keep on coming back :)

Why? they do have families and other things to do you know… some bands take the same time to do one tour and an album in the same time t? have made three and toured fuck knows how many times.

We are lucky that we keep as up to date as we do, some bands sites are forgotten about a few months after an album is released and then updated when the next one comes out.

There was no full British tour for OCFA as I pointed out at the time and Andy was quoted as saying before that that if they can’t afford to tour they would have problems.

I think they made enough money out of Euro summer festivals to take a break and get ready to start on the new one at their leisure. Who knows, maybe they read all the negative comments on here about OCFA and are taking their time on the next one…

I shouldn’t worry, Radio 1 might have forgotten them but the Worldwide fanbase never will! :)
