@Grant - on that grey bar at the top where it says ‘view all… etc’ at the end it says ‘all catagories’ and there’s an arrow. Click that and you can select a forum area :)

now that ive ahd 20 minutes or so to fiddle I really like the new set up, its quite different to other message boards and I respect and love that.

things ive noticed : signitures and smileys turned off by defualt, when sigs are on its hard to tell were they start and were posts end due to lack of seperator

post count and maybe other information like location or gender, would be cool to show up at top of your posts.

OK, everything feels weird and counterintuitive, but I’m sure the feeling will pass.

This may just be because everything’s still unfamiliar, but I think something might need to be done about the categories, now. I mean, you can view all unread posts, or you can view unread posts one category at a time, but there isn’t (I don’t think) a quick and easy way to see if there are new posts just in the old 100% T? section. It’s ok if you want to come on and read everything that’s new, but if you’re a casual member, and only come on infrequently wanting to check the T? stuff, then there’s now a fair few links to click through, where before you could just look at the 100%T? section and see at a glance.
I don’t know if I explained that very well, though. :s

And I’d like to see that ‘Who’s Online’ thing back up soon, please. :)

You’ve explained it just fine, and it is something I’ve already been thinking about. In addition to viewing all categories or viewing a single category, I’d like to add an option to select a subset of categories which will be remembered between vists, so you can only view the categories you’re interested in. Only the ones related to Therapy? for example, or any other combination of categories you want. In the mean time, if there’s a specific discussion you’re not interested in, simply click the cross icon to the right of it and it will be hidden from view.

Smilies and signatures are disabled by default, and can be turned on from your account, on the view smilies and view signatures pages respectively.

Tubthumper, the T? lads haven’t seen it yet, but I’ll tell them about it later today.

Wow René, you’ve worked hard on this! Great job, but it does indeed need a bit of time to get used to. But i’ll manage during work hours :D.
