Oi!
I stick by my statement made three and a half years ago, earlier in this thread. And it’s not entirely impossible it will actually happen some time in the future. How’s that for a deadline?
So we’ll be waiting for another 3 and a half years? ;)

Avatars - I think would be a great idea, just gotta watch what people put up if it isn’t their real faces!
But it be nice to put a face to some familiar names :)

Title: Think of the poor fuckers on dial-up
Personally I wouldn’t like them I’m on dial-up so it’s slow enough to load up a page on WOM without having to load up picture’s too :(

Don’t like them either, we don’t have dial up at work, but it isn’t such a good connection either. Messageboards with avatars are a hell to read. You can start reading, but while reading the text jumps away from your screen for every picture that’s loaded. Usually I lose interest in such boards, just because they’re so annoying to read.

A size limit could be implemented. I wouldn’t want them to be very big. As I said in my original post (four years ago now? :p) it’s just to give WOMbles a bit more individuality
EDIT: Actually, you know what? I don’t really care anymore!

i like this, if you have the 56k problems you can turn the avatars off, and there a reasonable size.
