You came to the wrong place to slag off Dream Theater!

KJC won’t have it you know - hence the slagging of the almighty Slayer! Oh dear!

Slayer used to be a good band - 20 years ago - nowadays there are a full circle of bands that could dance circles around the “untouchable Dave Lombardo”. Kerry King is one of the biggest douchebags in metal besides ol’ Lars boy.

I say what I want to say. Like if you don’t like a band, why visit the bloody thread?

You don’t see me going into threads with bands I don’t like immediately stating that they are utter shite - maybe I should, but a) what is the point and b) I don’t have that much free time on my hands.

If you don’t like my opinion on that, I don’t give a toss - take a long walk on a short cliff for all I care.

KJC you are a wanker. I’m not letting you insult me twice and get away with it just because our opinions differ. I haven’t been rude to you - I only said I didn’t like Dream Theater (after I tried to give them go - very good of me, I thought!) to which you insinuated that I was stupid and now you’re telling me to walk off a cliff! It’s the aggressive gene that comes out in all stupid people when they run out of game before they’re opponent - and you’ve just proved you smoke cocks by saying ’ I say what I want to say’ - but when I express my thoughts you go mental because they’re not the same as yours! Sad bastard!

Very mature response Buffalo dude.

Smoking cock, gay - do you have a problem with homosexuality?

As for me insulting you - in the begining I simply questioned you judging a band based on one song, you didn’t quite get what I was saying and came back with a stupid comment. You criticize me for saying that I dislike Slayer, yet yourself go into threads of bands that you don’t like just to call them gay? That is where I lost patience with you. there are alot of threads relating to bands that I don’t like on this site - do you see me going into them saying “this band is gay and sucks balls” - no you don’t. I don’t mind people disliking bands, but we are not in Kindergarten here - how’s about some grounded, constructive criticism? Like maybe you don’t like the singers voice etc…

You my friend are if anything the sad bastard for wasting you precious time in a thread about a band that you so dislike.

As far as I am concerned this matter is closed. If apologize for the cliff remark, but man you tested my patience cause I quite honestly found your responses idiotic. Sorry.

The band is full of virtuosos, I don’t describe them as musicians. :) I like the older stuff, brings me memories.

The pic of Portnoy’s drum set…I knew he isn’t a human. A three legged drumming animal. Saw the mascot? I once had one and miss my Animal!

You should all hear the Puppets been played by DT.

Seen some clips where Petrucci is playing solos…just plain madness…

I dont see the point why we should go offensive here. Someone started the post here and everybody got a right to post a comment here as long as is follows the board guidelines. Somethings mustnt be posted like someone should going over a cliff or telling someone/someband is gay or anything like that. It is like in real life you shouldnt always say what you think. Sometimes it is better to shout the mouth. I wish I had done that more often in the past :D

So if you dont like the opinion/comment of another just think he is a gay fag who should walk over a cliff and dont respond or maybe open up a new thread for your fight so we all have something to laugh about and you dont spam a complete different thread to death :D

Cheers

H.

P.S.: And sometimes it is better to use smiles to show any reader that you dont mean your own post to serious. It is not always easy to see how serious some is or if he is just joking :)

To start this off I would like to give you all a big :)

@Graeme55?: Enjoy the rest of the catalogue dude, Images & Words is still my fav :)

@grant: Dungeons & Dragons? In which of their songs to they sing about that please? You are referring to Power Metal (Helloween, Dragonforce, Blind Guardian etc.), Dream Theater are Progresssive Metal for starters and I am sure that if you actually listened to their lyrics you would realize that they don’t sing about that. How’s about actually “listening” to a band before dissing them? That is all I was trying to tell Buffalo Fella before he went off the rails :)

@HurricanHolgi: Me brutha, I did not tell the man to “go over a cliff”, I told him to “take a long walk on a short cliff” - there is a difference. With what you imply he falls to his death, in what I imply he has options e.g. he could walk in circles around the cliff, he could walk back and forth along the cliffs edge - he has choices. Now, who is negative? :)

@Buffalo Boy: Please go back to the very beginning of this thread and start reading. When you stumble across the bit before the cliff remark where I offended, let me know and I will apologize. If anyone you were the one who kept coming back to a thread regarding a band that you clearly don’t like - like, what is the point??? If you are into bashing I recommend http://www.blabbermouth.net - you will find lot’s of likeminded negativety there and folks who spend there whole day visiting threads about bands they do not like to bash them :)

@emekataman: When I want it heavy, I listen to Kreator, Death and Vader.

Before somebody tells me to calm down (hey I am calm - loads of smileys ;) - I like visiting these boards because you run into folk who are willing to have a good chat about various topics. I hate the mindless bashing crap - it puts me off being here.

Tell you what, I will create a thread especially for all of you bashers in a sec ;)

Now, how’s about some “is Petrucci better than Satriani?”, “does James Le Brie’s voice ruin the band?” or “Why does the bass player never say anything?” type conversation? Something that one would expect to find in a thread like this :D

Peace & Love to all you wombles out there. :)))))))))))))))))))))))))

DRAM THEATER are the business…

One of the best bands of the last 20 years. Sure they’ve had their weak moments but who hasn’t.
They have plenty of rock albums, heavy rock albums and metal albums to entertain anyone into heavy music if they give them a proper listen. Their musicianship is second to none.
Check out their LIVE AT BUDAKAN DVD.

They usually play long sets of 3 hours or more. How many bands can do that these days.

To make things a bit more interesting for themselves they include covers of intire albums in their sets on odd occasions. I have the official bootlegs of their shows with MASTER OF PUPPETS and NUMBER OF THE BEAST. I still have to get my hands on DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.
