:( the only rocknight there now is rebellion, which is under 18s so therefore a bit shit (unless u binge drink before it), all the music is the latest pop hits really, with the odd mainstream metal song.

terrible scene tbh.

I used to like popping into the old swan, the jukebox wasnt bad in there sometimes.

mr self destruct, I’m in two minds about adding a PM system, but you shouldn’t expect to see it in the next few days :-)

caffeinebomb, the polls will most likely not return on the boards, but I’m sure we will be able to find a solution for the Wommies 2008 when the time comes.

Dan, smilies are turned off by default, but can be switched on in your account. I’ve turned them on for you now.

WP, there will be no fondling on these boards, thank you.

Colin, the old boards are not coming back. And stop thinking for other people, you might hurt yourself.

carl and grant, I’m pleased you like the boards, but if you want to continue your conversation, please start a new discussion. Thanks, guys.

I’m happy to hear some of you are getting used to, and liking, the changes. I realise it’s all very different and it’s a lot to get used to, but I hope you can try using it for a while and give it a chance. Development doesn’t end here, so there will be improvements and new features in the time to come, and I appreciate everyone’s feedback and the kind words.

rené, what you probably could do is make the categories visible as a default. Now you have to click on it, and I know, it’s not a big effort to do this, but for people that are new and just have a look around, it could be helpful to have an overview of what you can find here.

Andy, if your avatar doesn’t end up being of a newly unwrapped bed, I know I and most other WoMbles will feel extremely let down.

I like the ‘Related Discussions’ section at the bottom, Rene. If you could include that on the preview of starting a new thread, it might cut down on lots of merging, too. (OR have you actually done that? I haven’t tried starting a rthread yet). :)

And a homepage link at the top of the page! Woot! :D

Teethgrinder, how about some aditional smilies? A one with its tongue sticking out would be good, as strange a request as that may sound :-P

Grant, that’s not a tongue - it’s an open mouth. There’s a big difference.

I want a smilie for when I’ve said something cheeky.

Can we have a normal password instead of having to ask for a email to be sent once the 2 weeks sign-in is up?

Oh and I have to agree with what someone else said, to keep the catergories on the main message board page as I’m sure newbies to the board will get easily lost :(

Cheers!

I’m glad you like the link at the top, Misanthropologist, I think it works quite well like this.

It is actually a smiley with its tongue sticking out, and I’ve just added more variations of the text which is converted to this smiley, as I guess you’ve noticed ;-)

andy, as long as you come back at least once every two weeks, the period you’re remembered is automatically extended for another two weeks. Only if you come back to the boards after not having visited for more than two weeks, you will have to sign in again. If you don’t like your password, you can change it in your account on the change password page.

Does everyone really think this: :p is a smilie with its tongue stuck out? And not an open-mouthed laughing smiley? This issue is doing my head in. Maybe I interpret things completely differently to everyone else :-/

It’s laughing for Christ’s sake, look at its eyes!
