I always recommend getting an older used guitar that will hold its value. If You buy a new guitar You are losing money instantly and it takes months before You can be sure if it’s a keeper. If You buy a used 80s US made guitar like Jackson, Gibson etc. You are getting a professional quality guitar that will increase in its value. And the good thing is that at the moment You can still find them for steal prices.

wouldn’t touch that with someone elses 20 foot barge pole. ugh as FNYANKEZ says.
i take it your lookin a shredder? then i’d go with what Colin? says. i personally will never ever ever buy an ibanez, but i recognise their qualities. I just hate their tone and their look personally. It’s too sweet. bit like prs, TOO nice tonally. i like a guitar to play a bit dirty and react occasionally of it’s own accord.

Ibanez aren’t so bad. I tried one at the shop (not sure of the model but it didn’t have tremolo so it had great sustain) it played great and was cheap too around $350.
There was one from the early 90s I loved but couldn’t afford it at the time. Alex Skolnick used to play it, it had a reversed headstock. Can’t remember the model though.

I have one on a Jackson and I have to agree. Only consider getting one if you absolutely must have a trem… even then, you probably shouldnt bother

As a general rule, I stay away from pointy guitars. After a while you regret getting them.If you want a shred guitar get an ESP or LTD, something like their version of the les paul
