@White Psycho - there were messageboards on here before The Wall Of Mouths - I thought you were around for them too? The only reason I didn’t sign up to the new ones on 19th July 2000 was cos some c**t nicked my username in the change over and Rene had to sort it out :D

I used the teethgrinder ones, which were these before they moved over. Was that when the site was all black or all *shudder* red?

I honestly can’t remember - I just remember there was a lot more slagging matches. And I don’t think you had to register properly either :-/

I’m not 100% sure, but I think teethgrinder.com (including the message boards) started out with a dark black/purple design. The red site was the old official one, which later turned black, during which time I became webmaster. The site that’s here today is an evolved version of the one that was launched on 2 April 2003.
The first post on the message boards was made on 15 December 1999, but I’m not sure when I named it Wall of Mouths. The first reference to the name that I could find was in a message posted on 6 March 2000. It started out using my homegrown software where everyone could post without registering, and I added user accounts on 19 July 2000. I introduced the vBulletin software on 22 April 2002, which was replaced with my own software two weeks ago, as I think some of you have noticed :-)
That concludes our history lesson for today.
