RSS is a format for distributing regularly changing content across the web. It allows you to keep track of sites you’re interested in without the need to visit them all individually to see if there’s anything new. You can read RSS feeds using a feed reader, either installed on your computer or web-based. I use and recommend Bloglines, but there are others like My Yahoo! and Google Reader).

On WoM you can subscribe to all discussions, disucssions in a single category, a single discussion, or a single person’s discussions or posts. They are accessible through links in the footer of their respective pages (the ones with the orange feed icon), and most modern browsers offer built-in access to feeds through the same icon (Firefox has it in the address bar on the right, and Internet Explorer 7 displays it below the address bar. Some browsers, including these two, also offer a built-in feed reader (Firefox calls it Live Bookmarks).
