I hate Oasis because they try to sound like Beatles 2000. And this is my bloody opinion and always will be. But if someone likes them then it’s good for him/her.

 Oasis sound fuck all like the beatles. Even Noel says that ! Plus my mum - who loved The Beatles :D
Saying they do is just jumping on the bandwagon.
Apart from maybe ” whatever ” and the first two CHORDS of Dont look back in nager - they really dont sound beatlesy at all.

@ King Alcohol…I Agree - their ballads are pretty ropey and i alwyas skip them. This album is supposed to be like the last one but a mixture of both cd’s…

Maybe “soft” as in “weak”? Its all half assed bluster to me. I really wanna like the Foos cos Dave Grohl is one of the nice guys of rock, but i can’t help think that the best music he’s made since Nirvana was with QOTSA…
Havng said that i was played the song “color and the shape” the other day and jesus CHRIST that rocks.

The Color and the Shape is a good song, should have been on the album. Far better than toss songs like Doll, February Stars & Walking After you.

True…Dave always puts sappy ballads on the albums…I think he should do a solo acoustic album to get all the sap out then come back with a big fuck off dirty loud detuned rock album :D

One of the main problems with the Foos is the rest of the band. From what I know they are a not a fan of heavy music which limits what Ghrol writes. Some decent stuff on Probot which goes to show that deep in side rock musics Mr Nice hides a metal beast.

On a more pos note, i don’t come on here so often these days (because of a certain cunt) but its good to see things haven’t changed!
Green day… great live? Squall, i love you! I saw green day live and they were entertaining in a cheesy kind of way but the fact that all their songs sound the same ruined it a bit! When will Billie Joe learn another chord?!
