Listening to a nice Pantera compilation I made myself.
Have to say, the Cowboys From Hell tracks sound a bit dated when heard next to the rest of the songs - too much Bruce Dickinson/ Justin Hawkins in the vocals for my liking. I think Vulgar Display is where Phil really found his own voice.

I’m on a real stoner, blues rock kick at the moment… got some Hermano DVD at the weekend man it’s fucking brilliant!
Gets me and Boyd all inspired to finally finish the Pirrama stuff and update the myspace.

I don’t think they did a bad one so i still love it, it was always going to sound a bit flat after the very varied album that was King for a day and sadly the Keyboard parts were mainly done by mike as Roddy was fucked up on drugs. But tune wise it was great a distilled version of what they do best.

I’m listening to mp3’s of the just-mastered LARGE MOUND from dublin. They rock, as the kidz would say. I’m kinda fixated and biased (bi-assed?) ‘cos I mixed 6 of the 13 songs. But it does indeedlydoodly rock. RAWK. RRROOOCCCKKKKK. And every now and then lately I’ve been listening to Suicide Pact and Shameless by some band… I forget their name…
