No no, I, erm, “accidentally” set fire to it 150 miles from my house last night.

Clumsy me, eh?

I don’t know anything about that, but my friend Kat has a fella who is quite small, and she spent all weekend nagging him for sex, so I guess that’s the nearest thing to a sex midget we had in our little gang…

Went to see Leatherface last Sunday in Dublin. Great night. Nice to see the setlist hadn’t changed a bit since I last saw them over a decade ago and that Stubbsie is still in great nagging form.

Tribute band last night: “101% Pantera”

Guitarist was cracking, no mean feat when it’s Dimebag you’re trying to copy. On the whole very good and a close likeness. Vocalist was good but not much like Phil Anselmo, which kind of detracted from the overall success of the tribute but an enjoyable night and value for money cos they played a whole shitload of songs for something like 2 hours.

I have seen much worse tribute bands…especially in my head when I imagine what that Motley Crue tribute ended up like…

I saw them in Swansea last night Dennis , I really enjoyed. Yeah they played for 2 hours , played about 20 songs. Really good.

My neck is suffering today though and my throat , I was screaming so loud.

They even played Suicide Note PT II that was insane.

went to pukkelpop in hasselt last saturday

NIN was amazing, their new light show was very very cool
Tool just sounded tired. the music was ok, but his voice didn’t carry, not that good a performance
listened to some wovenhand, loved it, but it was too loud *am I getting old here*
Trentemöller was great. I love his flowy stuff, but when he hits the beats button, you just can’t keep still

Also went to Pukkelpop, on Thursday and Saturday.
I only wanted to see Ignite and Iggy And The Stooges on Thursday, but predeicatble as Pukkelpop is both bands were schedueled at the same time :(
Well, I bought me ticket for Ignite in the first place, without knowing at that time Iggy and the Stooges would play there as well. So I went to see Ignite and didn’t regret it for a second.
We arrived late on Saturday, half an hour before NIN started, there was still plenty of space in front of the stage luckily, and they were amazing indeed! A pity from those cunts standing around me who ruined all of Hurt by talking and screaming :(
After that, went straight to Sonic Youth, they sounded good, but I had to leave early because I didn’t want to miss a part of Madball’s performance (schedueled at the same time as Tool :( ) they stopped about 40 minutes too early, but they played a great short set, and so I could still see most of Tool’s set (who had started 20 minutes too late) :)

last weekend i was in a festival in istanbul. lots of turkish bands. didn’t like most of them. for the international names U.D.O., Moonspell and Madball were on the list. U.D.O. was great, I love oldschool heavy metal!!! Moonspell was OK, but I don’t like them so much. Madball’s show was a killer!! They were awesome on stage. Normally I don’t like them, their show was perfect!!

Absolutely savage gig…!!! They made ribbons of the place. The loudest, fastest show I’ve seen in years.

Smashing Pumpkins last night at Glasgow Academy. It was ok, but a bit overlong. Met Chad Smith from RHCP there. He seems like an ok guy. Stood talking to him for 20 mins or so. Taking my son to see them and Biffy Clyro tonight at Hampden.

Biffy were great, but only had 45 mins.

RHCP were, as usual, pretty dull live, but my 9yr old son had a great time.

TOOL last night at the Apollo. Despite only being on for just over an hour and a half it was brilliant! A particular highlight was a Carey/Chancellor duel which was incredible - Danny Carey is almost too good a drummer!
