Sounds strange… but as the CD is stereo, why play it through 5.1.. it’s could split things to channels that it shouldn’t (causing possible phasing and lose of frequencies) if they are really good speakers then in Stereo mode it will sound better. I own quite a few 5.1 albums and they do indeed sound amazing through the right set up, well done on the purchase by the way :)

lol my mum bought like a 600 watt 5.1 set up and she fucking put all the speakers in the same place near the tv and wont have the bass turnt up or the volume for that matter, i dont understand why people will buy good speakers and not use them properly.

The bass? I could terrorize the street with the subwoofer I’ve got. It’s bigger than my sodding microwave! Volume on the other hand I have it usually at about 3 bars out of…many and it’s more than loud enough :D
