Started by Gimme Back My Brainsaw (Mike Hunt)

just finished my third day of college and I must say its fucking fantastic. i lvoe the relaxed environment, and i never thought id say this but im enjoying learning. and theres fuck all chavs, and ive even slowly started socalising (sitting in the quad thing listening to blasting grindcore :D), fucking hell. diddnt realise it would be this good. today i only had 3 hours of actually doing anything and rest of day i just chilled out. dont really know why im starting a topic lol, but people often start posts when their having a shit time, so I thought why not be optimistic and post that somethings going good.

Nice one. Make the most of college and Uni because after that you have to start real work, which sucks!

How do fees get paid down in England? Through an agency, like Scotland?

Best 1,500th post ever.
I agree entirely. :)

By the way Grant, college does sound like good craic.
I’m really enjoying being a prefect in school, it’s much more relaxed, smaller classes, no chavs (which did suprise me) and all my mates from the past 5 years are there too.
Now that my rugby is also returning it is going to be good fun. I have 4 hours of PE across 3 days a week. At the end of my PE course I’ll be a qualified:
Tag rugby coach
5-a-side football coach
Swimming coachh
“Kwik-Kricket” coach
Hockey coach

On top of that, I’m doing Maths re-sits, History, Politics and Media Studies at AS Level then doing it all again for A Level. :)

I found Uni to be the same improvement over college that college was over school… do it!

Just think of all those posh girls away from home for the first time ;)

my 4 years in university were the best of my life (so far). Away from home, doing whatever you want, whenever you want with whomever you want. Fantastic :D So if you get the chance, do it.

I grew up in the West Midlands and went to Uni in Newcastle. I used to drink a lot of Coke and without fail I had to ask for it at least three times before they recognised the word, cos the vowel sound is so different down here compared to up there.

LOL :D spot on Gav :D “Glarse of cewk” :D That has made my day!

@Dennis - is that how come you ended up getting addicted to cake?

@Grant - I’m really pleased that you are enjoying it - just remember to keep up the work though, at the end of the day you want the best qualis you can get!

Yes, that is indeed how I became addicted to cake.

I thought I could handle it, but then I found I was bunking off lectures and just sitting in my room eating cake.

Listen to Brasseye, kids, don’t do cake. :(

Well if you had just thought to put on a wig and a skirt before you set off then you wouldn’t have had any bother. Well not from the men anyway. Well not the sort of bother you mean.

You would have had a problem if you got on the wrong side of the women though. They don’t like it if they think you’re flirting with their husband/partner/brother/son/boss/employee/nephew/colleague/therapist/barman.

I had long hair at the time, I couldn’t have looked more like a girl if I had tried.

Though admittedly if I had worn fewer skirts I could have looked LESS like one…
