edthemonkey, if I were you I’d have sold the LP from an account with much more positive feedback, and sorted out PayPal as an option!

bidding starts at £10, a must for all therapy? fans. unfortunately i have had to reluctantly sell my collection to raise money for grown up things like bills. this is the gem in my collection and is one of the only remaining pieces. spread the word. happy bidding.

unfortunately i have no paypal account as it will not accept any of my cards. and i have only ever used ebay before to buy one item, hence the lack of feedback.

I love Therapy? but I never see the point in collecting vinyl or promos or anything like that. Hard-to-find tracks, yes, hard-to-play formats, nah.

Above all this is a factory mistake, not a mistake by the band.
If it were the band who had fucked this 7” up, ok, but since it was a factory mistake, it might be a nice item to own, but it’s definately not worth more than the “mint” meat abstract 7”. I’d even say this one is worth less.

As regards the labels on the wrong sides - every one of the 1,000 has this error. So if you had one with the correct labeling, it would be rare!

According to Kerrang in 1994, this disc was worth £30 onwards, though I don’t know about now. It probably won’t go into three figures, as the band have long since out of favour (sniff, sniff).

It’s difficult to say. I’ve seen quite a few on ebay in the last few years. They seem to vary in price.
My own copy I would describe as “very good” in condition and I paid about £30 for it about 6 or 7 years ago. I wouldn’t really upgrade to a “mint” copy, so I’m not sure if they’re worth more than a VG copy. But since there was 1000 released, it’s not THAT rare!

When I got the 7” I played it to make sure it was ok and noticed the wrong labeling. Then much later I read an interview, with Michael I think, who said the vinyls were more than a month late, and when they arrived, they were all wrong.
They went with that particular pressing plant ‘cos they saw an ad in a magazine for them, and they were really cheap, so he said they got what they paid for! :)

ah, i always wondered why it was labelled wring. still, it is a gem, and as far as im concerned, 1000 pieces is quite a small production considering t?’s massive european (and beyond) fanbase.
if nobody wants it, then fair enough, i’d be quite happy to keep it.
also, i think poo-pooing all of my bulletins because i’m a “noob” is a bit childish, rather elitist, and frankly mean.
i am as you all are an avid t? fan, my fanatacism stretched to travelling round europe to see them, collecting literally everthing they released, and also collecting some t? related tattoos. this was even rewarded by the band in the form of regular birthday prezzies of foreign posters, which i now value more than the “replacable” t? cd’s and vinyl.
so all who think “loser with a poxy vinyl, lets bash him”…ease up!

I don’t think anyone is treating you like a noob in here. If any of my posts gave you that feeling I’m very sorry, as I never meant to, and I don’t think that was the purpose of any of us.
I didn’t even know my Meat Abstract was wrongly labelled, I played it once and put it in my collection, now who’s the bad fan/collector here… :o
There will very probably be some people interested in your copy of meat abstract, I think (and hope) biddings mostly happen in the last minutes of the auction.

Hi Paul,
Apologies if my posts came across as elitist, it wasn’t meant that way. I just try to keep all my posts factual based in attempt to try and ‘clear things up’, such as the label issue with this record.
Always nice to have newbies to the board. Welcome!
Cheers,

I’ve seen it on ebay quite a few times, I’ve seen it go for as low as £40 and as high as £130
I bought HAMFX, Meat Abstract and Dianne vinyl off ebay for £110 (not including postage)

That’s quite a good price! I don’t remember exactly (actually I only want to remember the bargains) what I paid for my HAMFX and my Meat Abstract 7”, but I think I paid almost £100 for each of them.

Like I said earlier, I got MA for £30 (so approx 40 euro) from a store in England (ie. not on ebay), and HAMFC for 70 euro from a guy on Ebay.
Not too bad I guess, but I might have to break the bank for a BM!
