I liked Get Ready a lot, but that last one was patchy.
Anyhow, I was being a bit facetious really, to say it would take three bullets to get JD back together..
…I mean, if Barny, Steve and Hooky were in a line, for example, it’d take just the one shot..

Ron McGovney’s still alive..as far as I know anyway. He was on their “Behind the Music” episode.

I would say being in the Little Angels throws you down into such a low league then even though he has been in two biggish bands he is only currently pubrock status… he pretty much needs to join Led Zepplin if they ever reform to move him up to a respectible level of rock stardom.

ok, i’m a rock fan. I know feeder and little angels. I STILL couldn’t pick him out of a line up. Being in a band does NOT make you a “rock star”…

Yeah, and much nicer than his other bandmates who have started to think they were rockstars :)

Agreed.
Bit hard to throw your weight around and demand ridiculous diva-esque measures when the staff in venues reply with:
“…erm…and you are…? Oh, you’re in the band..? Sorry, didn’t realise. What’s the name of the band again…?…”

I wouldn’t bother going to see Led Zep now, although I would buy a DVD of the show - simply cos it’d be cheaper.
In some ways I just don’t see the point - One guy is missing, Page is way past his best and there’s the same “new material” issue as with other bands that reform (i.e. if there’s no new stuff why bother and if there IS new stuff it’s usually shite compared to the classics) BUT on the other hand whilst there are the three of them still alive, why not go out one last time and play the songs they wrote to people who want to hear them?
If you want to see it, you pays your money and makes your choice, if you don’t, just stay away, simple as.
There are quite a few bands I would love to see reform just cos I missed them first time around (Smiths, Jam etc) but the truth is that I would most likely be disappointed if I did see them. Expectation just grows to ridiculous levels amongst fans, don’t you think?
Having said that, these tickets will be astronomically priced, which is never a good thing.

I don’t personally see the point either… better to just leave something be I was actually disappointed in them when i heard they were thinking of doing it. They are a band that I was brought up on but as you said with one member missing it’s just as bad as the Who or Queen. The only band i really enjoyed when i saw the reunion was the Pixies.

Spookily enough I was just watching some Queen + Paul Rogers songs on Youtube. Again, it isn’t the same, never could be, but I can see why some people would enjoy it for what it is rather than what it’s not.
Should bands split when a major member dies/ leaves..? I always think “yes” but… What about Back In Black - arguably DC’s best album?!
