Started by Isness in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

I probably shan’t fit in too well here, since rock/metal isn’t generally my kind of thing. There are a few such bands I like though, and for some reason or other, I love Therapy? I’m sure it’s the way they’re constantly changing. Probably.
My favourite T? album is either Infernal Love or Semi-Detached (that’s right, not Troublegum!).
I’m also known as Ross, but Isness will do.

That’s probably ‘cos, like you said, Therapy’s sound is always changing and it’s very hard to define a genre for them.

My favourite album ain’t Troublegum either, it’s probably Babyteeth or Suicide Pact. Although Infernal Love gives me a great feeling when I listen to it!

I got into Therapy? circa Troublegum but I’d say my favourite is either Semi Detached or SP:YF. A lot of people seem to think Troublegum is the only thing they ever did but I reckon they’ve come a long way since then :D

Alan - I’m concerned that you get a great feeling from listening to Infernal Love, musically it’s very good (two of my fave songs are Me vs You and Misery) but the whole having Eros maggots rammed down your throat / bowels of love etc certainly doesn’t make me feel ‘great’, quite ill actually ;)

mostly i listen to trip-hop/lounge myself (massive attack, phead, archive, st. germain, etc)… i use to listen to rock/metal when i first got into therapy? when nurse came out, but besides a few bands here and there i kinda grew out of it… for some reason though therapy? still kicks my ass…

i’d say nurse and sp,yf are my fav. t? albums myself…

And my favourite band are the Future Sound Of London. I run the equivalent of Teethgrinder.com for them (I get emails from the guys themselves and allsorts). They’re quite an obsession of mine.

i’ve got the first and the third (which is brilliant!)… haven’t been able to track down the second, as it’s pretty rare, but i wasn’t as impressed with the songs i’ve heard from it anyway, so i’m not in dire need of it…

it is nice to know someone else on the board likes archive… i think many people here would really dig their new album…

You’ve had 13 (?) replies and no-one’s said that the Offspring are one of the most talented (okay, I shan’t push it and say orginal) bands around. So I guess I don’t fit in either, but waht the hey.

First Portishead album rocked, in er, a non-pogoey sort of way.
