Stone Roses - The Complete Stone Roses.

As per usual, the word “Complete” in a best of’s title proves to be a big whopper of a lie. Still, some great songs on there.

Flamenco Chill, I am listening to at present. It is for work, but as these things go it is quite pleasant to listen to. Mind, I think this kind of music works better in a terrace bar overlooking the Mediterranean, rather than in a converted barn office on the outskirts of Birmingham/Coventry

Yeah it’s not too bad an album… hard to believe that his singing could actually get any worse. But it does spout some of the most first class bollocks in th business.. i have a lot of time for him. Live you will have to let me know if you do go.

The bloke’s a bit of a cunt but he amuses me…he’s a real character and has a unique voice. Have you seen interviews with him recently? He’s got a new set of false teeth as his were completely rotten! :D

I did notice his teeth, i haven’t seen him do interviews for a little while now. Last one was probably the black Grape era… “most musicians are plums, i can’t play an instrument so that only makes me half a plum!”
He seems a bit healthier?? if thats the right word.. i boughth some solo thing he did with one of his cousins and it’s was shithouse, so the new album is a nice surprise.

I’ve been on a bit of an indie kick…
Yeah Yeah yeahs- show me your bones

There’s a documentary about him called The Agony and the Ecstasy, some bloke followed him and Bez around (they live next door to each other in the Peak District!), I’ve not seen it but it must be pretty funny.

Enjoying the new Radiohead.

On the radiohead subject.. i think the new album is pretty fucking good and has been on repeat since i got it. All that bollocks that people have said that they are still doing their electro thing is shite.. they use some keyboards and sample now and then but it’s the most natural album they have done in ages.. it’s sounds really fresh and i just love the songs, it’s flows really well.

Some good stuff on there, but they sound much better live, and this has possibly the shittiest guitar sound on it I have heard in a long time.
The second album has some great stuff on it too.

It’s definitely a more “traditional” sounding Radiohead, certainly compared to Amnesiac and Kid A…the people whinging on about ít seem to have been listening to a different album to me.
